A portable e-rig under $150 can be a reasonable hardware choice if its controls, replacement parts and care requirements suit you. The difficult part is comparing the actual package behind the price. A small device, a large battery number and a sale banner do not establish the best overall product.
This six-model guide compares documented hardware features and prices checked October 13, 2026. Sources include XVAPE’s US store and named independent retailers. We have not performed a controlled comparison of these devices, so the recommendations concern specifications and ownership fit rather than measured performance.
The budget covers the displayed device price before shipping, tax and optional accessories. Stock can vary by configuration, and a visible Add to cart button is not a delivery guarantee. Recheck the exact model and included components before committing to a price comparison.
Our first two places to look
The Yocan iCan is the lowest-priced device in the six listings reviewed here. The XVAPE Vista Mini 2 merits a close look for its documented carrying case and wireless charging. Neither observation establishes a universal winner, but each identifies a concrete reason to start the comparison.
The four Lookah models offer different shapes, interfaces and coil families. They need particular care when comparing listings because names and specifications can be inconsistent. A smaller version is not necessarily the same device with a reduced shell.
For context beyond this budget, our portable device roundup covers a wider field. A higher price should correspond to a feature or support advantage you can actually identify. It is not evidence of better results by itself.
Yocan iCan: $59.99 at an authorized reseller
YocanVaporizer.com’s iCan page displayed $59.99 and an Add to cart control. The site identifies itself as an authorized online reseller, so its price should not be described as a manufacturer-direct offer.
The listing specifies a 1,100mAh battery, USB-C charging, preset voltage levels and one-button operation. It lists a quartz bowl coil and includes a USB-C cable. Yocan’s separate manufacturer page also documents the iCan model and its 1,100mAh battery.
That combination makes the iCan a useful starting point for a basic hardware budget. The listed battery capacity does not establish how many cycles it will complete against another device. Battery size and measured endurance are different pieces of information.
One detail deserves checking when ordering replacements: the reseller alternates between QBC and QCB in its coil naming. Ask for compatibility with the exact iCan model rather than relying on the abbreviation alone. We are not treating inconsistent copy as proof of interchangeable parts.
Lookah Octopus Mini: $69.99, with a specification caveat
KING’s Pipe lists the Octopus Mini at $69.99 with an Add to cart control. Its description names a magnetic connection, USB-C charging and the Lookah 910 coil family. The listed package includes two coils and a silicone stopper, but excludes a charging cable.
The battery specification is less settled than the price. KING’s Pipe lists 600mAh, while DankStop’s listing says 650mAh. DankStop also mixes a 910-coil compatibility statement with a 510-thread field. These discrepancies prevent a confident specification-level battery comparison.
We therefore would not choose Octopus on the promise of a particular runtime or an exact size advantage. Resolve the model revision and included components with the seller first. The small-format positioning is clear, but several technical details need better documentation.
Availability also differs by seller. DankStop marked its displayed configuration sold out, despite showing a non-member price of $70. A second listing with a price is useful context; it is not automatically a second available purchase option.
XVAPE Vista Mini 2: $79 on the current sale listing

XVAPE’s US product page displayed $79 against a $159 reference price, with an Add to cart control. At the reference price, the device falls outside this guide’s ceiling. Its inclusion depends on the lower price continuing to apply to the selected configuration.
Documented features include four LED-indicated heat settings, a replaceable quartz atomizer and haptic feedback. The listed package includes a detachable borosilicate glass bubbler, glass cap and carrying case. Wireless and USB charging distinguish it from the other listings in this comparison.
XVAPE advertises an average of thirty cycles per charge and a ten-second heat-up. Those are manufacturer claims without a shared test protocol against the other models. They should not be treated as proof of superior battery life or heating accuracy.
The case and charging options are the strongest reasons to examine this package. Check the glass components and the selected finish against the actual box contents. A fuller listed kit can reduce separate accessory purchases without guaranteeing lower ownership costs over time.
Lookah Mini Dragon Egg: $79.99
KING’s Pipe’s Mini Dragon Egg page displayed $79.99 and an Add to cart control. It describes a 500mAh battery, a 910 quartz dish coil, a glass mouthpiece and a magnetic flip cap. The water chamber is identified as Perspex.
The seller lists three settings and USB-C charging, while explicitly excluding the charging cable. Its package list names one coil, a cleaning brush and a manual. Other seller bundles can differ, so confirm the included quantity instead of assuming every photograph represents the same package.
The main distinction from the original Dragon Egg is the smaller-format design and different documented coil family. Do not infer battery endurance from the word “Mini” or the capacity figure alone. Neither establishes how long your configuration will operate between charges.
Material names also deserve precise reading. A Perspex chamber and a glass mouthpiece are separate components with different care requirements. Describing the whole device as glass or shatterproof would obscure the actual construction and overstate what the listing establishes.
Lookah Unicorn Mini: $75.99 at the reviewed retailer
RI-Ecig & Vapes lists the Unicorn Mini at $75.99 before tax and marked it in stock. Its specifications name a 950mAh battery, USB-C charging and three power levels. The page describes a magnetic glass attachment and a 710-thread coil.
The listed dimensions are 162 by 40 by 40 millimeters, making its proportions different from an egg-shaped device. The package includes two coils, a silicone mouthpiece cover, a cleaning tool and a manual. Those are retailer-described specifications, not measurements from our own sample.
Its tall, narrow format is a reason to compare it physically with the other models. That shape may suit some storage arrangements and frustrate others. We are not declaring it more pocketable without measuring the complete device and the protection its glass requires.
Lookah Dragon Egg: $97.99 for the displayed configuration
KING’s Pipe identifies this as the original Dragon Egg, despite “mini” appearing in its URL. The displayed blue configuration was $97.99 with an Add to cart control. Read the product heading and component details instead of relying on a URL’s wording.
The seller documents a 950mAh battery, USB-C charging, a digital display and the 710-thread coil family. It describes a Perspex chamber and a glass mouthpiece. A charging cable is specifically excluded from the listing.
This is the option to examine if you prefer a visible digital interface within the budget. That interface difference is more defensible than claiming the original model is automatically more durable. We have not conducted drop tests or long-term reliability testing across this group.
Compare replacement parts before extra features
Several devices share a manufacturer name while using different coil families. The reviewed listings associate Octopus Mini and Mini Dragon Egg with 910 coils; Unicorn Mini and original Dragon Egg use 710 coils. Confirm compatibility by exact model rather than assuming the number alone answers every question.
Look for a named replacement component and a clear support route before treating a device as economical. A low initial price becomes less useful if the required part cannot be identified. The same reasoning applies to glass, caps and charging accessories.

What the specification sheet cannot promise
Voltage, wattage and temperature are different measurements. A voltage setting cannot be converted into a universal chamber temperature without more information. Likewise, a color-coded preset does not prove that two different devices reach the same measured conditions.
A battery capacity in milliamp-hours is not a standardized cycle count. Comparing endurance would require consistent settings, duration and test conditions. That is why this guide avoids ranking the six devices by battery performance from capacity alone.

Choosing within the ceiling
Start with the iCan for the lowest reviewed price and Vista Mini 2 for its documented package. Compare the Lookah formats when their particular interface or shape matters to you. Resolve the Octopus listing discrepancies before using its specifications to make the decision.
Then calculate the complete hardware cost, including any missing cable, protective storage and likely replacement components. Follow model-specific care instructions rather than a universal cleaning recipe. The best budget choice is the one with a clear fit and support path, not simply the smallest number on the page.
