Airo Brands is a cannabis vapor hardware and consumer-products company founded in 2017. It built its reputation on a closed vape ecosystem in which battery, cartridge, atomizer, airflow and oil are designed to work as one system. Richard Yost is chief executive. The company has since expanded into all-in-one devices, several oil families and the Oria edibles line.
The closed system
The original AiroPro proposition was hardware reliability: a magnetic pod connection, a ceramic atomizer, controlled airflow and haptic feedback. Unlike a standard 510 battery, the closed system limits users to compatible pods and gives the company control over how the oil and the device interact.
Hardware and oil families
AiroPro is the flagship reusable system, joined by AiroSport and the AiroX disposables — AiroX1 and AiroX2 in one-gram and two-gram formats. AiroPod covers the compatible oil cartridges. Oil families run Artisan Series, Liquid Diamonds, Strain Series, Live Resin, Live Rosin and Artisan Ice, with Full Spectrum reserved for Oria.
Oria edibles
Oria is the company's edibles line, marketed as terpene-rich infused product and sold alongside the vapor catalog.
Licensed partner model
Airo works through licensed manufacturing partners in each cannabis market, supplying hardware, formulations and brand systems while local operators produce and distribute the regulated goods. The model gives the brand a wide footprint, and it means the oil behind a given pod is made by a different licensee from state to state.
Footprint
Airo's About page reports availability in 23 states and more than 1,800 dispensaries. A February 2024 partnership release with The Cannabist Company put the figure at over 1,700 licensed medical and adult-use dispensaries across 23 U.S. states and Puerto Rico.
