Archive Seed Bank is the Portland, Oregon genetics house run by Fletcher Watson, the breeder known online as ThaDocta. It bred Dosidos, the cross Leafly named its 2021 Strain of the Year. In September 2026, the shop listed dozens of Dosidos, Moonbow and Face Off OG hybrids, most of them not yet open for orders.
ThaDocta and the library
Archive is built on 20 years of collecting, preserving and developing cannabis genetics, High Times reported in its August 2023 issue. PiffinTen traces the collection to the Overgrow.com forum era, when Watson gathered verified clone-only cuts from the 1990s and early 2000s. The archive in the name is literal.
The nickname came from peers. Alien Labs' Lidie told Leafly that Fletch is known as "The Librarian" for his genetic archives. Archive states its mission as preserving "the historical, counterculture quality of the cannabis revolution."
The first Archive packs were a strain called #32, which Watson made by crossing Albert Walker and Manic. The online strain library now runs to 208 entries, keeping retired releases and their parents on record next to current stock.
Dosidos, from 2012 to Strain of the Year
Watson bred and selected Dosidos in 2012 from OGKB, a GSC phenotype, and Face Off OG BX1. Nine years later, Leafly named it the 2021 Strain of the Year, crediting store sales and regional popularity data alongside editorial picks.
Dosidos went on to parent other breeders' hits. Michigan breeder ThugPug used it to make Peanut Butter Breath. In-House Genetics crossed it into Slurricane, and Symbiotic Genetics paired it with Purple Punch for Dosi Punch. Lidie carried his Dosi cut to Connected Cannabis Co., and Alien Labs debuted a Dosidos x Alien Mints cross at the Emerald Cup in December 2021.
Archive kept building on its own hit. The September 2026 catalog lists Dosi-Cake (Wedding Cake x Dosidos), Fritter Licker (Apple Fritter x Dosidos) and Dark Dosi (Dosidos x Dark Rainbow #11) in stock.
Face Off OG BX1 and the Moonbow lines
The Face Off OG BX1 male is the backbone. PiffinTen counts more than 15 Face Off OG hybrids from that father. The catalog shows why: Casper OG, Code Blue, Black Out, Dog Face and Hashbar OG all carry it. So does Face on Fire, a White Fire #43 x Face Off OG BX1 regular-seed release.
Moonbow, Dosidos x Zkittlez, opened the second branch. Rainbow Belts crossed Zkittlez with Moonbow #75, and Dark Rainbow put GMO over a Rainbow Belts F1. The Expedition Line uses the Moonbow 112 male, and Planet Purple F2 turns up in Chemdozer, Crossbow and Sleeping with the Stars.
The storefront sorts all of it into regular and feminized seeds plus hybrid families: Dosidos, Face Off OG, Moonbow 112, Dark Rainbow, Planet Purple, the Flavor Pack Line and the Expedition Line.
Seeds, cultivation and a Portland shop
High Times described Archive as a triangle, a shape that also runs through its branding. One point is the seed business. Adam Bush runs the second, cultivation and processing in Oregon. Mac Laws runs the third, the nursery program and retail at Archive Portland, which opened in 2016.
Archive Portland sits at 10645 SE Henry St. and sells flower, clones, rosin and merch, open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. High Times called Archive the first U.S. seed vendor with a retail location selling clones and seeds.
The company is self-funded and runs as a closed loop. The exception, per High Times, was a partnership with Smokiez to launch Archive's edible line. Merch and artist collaborations include work with Trevy Metal and Lot Comedy.
Clone Club, the forum and the 2026 grow show
Archive's community runs through a Clone Club membership, a Discord server, the Archive_TV YouTube channel, wholesale accounts and its own forum. In September 2026, the forum was deep in its 2026 Summer Grow Show, with separate boards for release and restock grows, freebies and auction gear.
Growers were posting runs of packs the shop had not yet opened for orders. Entries dated September 19–21, 2026 included Yoshi, a Moonbow 99 x Oishii regular pack listed at $200, and Zwoosh, a Zkittlez x Oishii cross at $150. Killz and Triple Threat, both built on Archive's five-male Flavor Pack, sit in the same queue.
Where Archive seeds ship in 2026
Archive sells direct from archiveseedbank.com behind a 21+ age gate. Its shipping policy, effective June 18, 2025, limits orders to U.S. states where seed sales are permitted and rules out international shipping. Orders go out in plain, unmarked packaging with tracked standard, priority and express options.
