Ay Papi is a La Habra, California solventless label that turns small-farm harvests into live rosin, full-melt hash and live rosin gummies. Founder and CEO Justin Lee builds releases as collaborations, with the partner farm credited by name. The model keeps paying off. Ay Papi took two Golden Bear trophies at the 2025 California State Fair and two category titles at the MJBowl Awards announced in January 2026.
The brand calls its crew "phenohunters, story tellers, and collaborators." Its Weedmaps bio names the partner farms outright: Huckleberry Hill Farms, Mattole Valley Sungrown, Whitethorn Valley Farms and Catch A Cloud Farms. The sourcing rule is sun-grown flower from regenerative organic farms, and the stated bar is tier 1, competition-grade material.
Farm names on the front of the jar
The model is collaboration. Ay Papi partners with small legacy farms, works with licensed processors and releases the results under joint names such as Ay Papi x Huckleberry Hill Farms. Lee put it plainly after the 2025 State Fair: "Ay Papi stands on the shoulders of the craft farmers. This recognition belongs to them."
Production partner My Green Network is a Santa Ana manufacturer focused on solventless processing and culinary-driven edibles. MGN shares credit with Ay Papi and the farms on the brand's award-winning entries, from Sour Z live rosin to the Whitethorn Rose gummies.
Whitethorn Rose and Huckleberry Hill
The cultivar most tied to Ay Papi is Whitethorn Rose, a Paradise Punch and Lemon OG cross bred by John Casali at Huckleberry Hill Farms in southern Humboldt. Weedmaps News reported in December 2023 that more than 90% of Huckleberry Hill's cultivation had shifted to that one plant. Paradise Punch came from Casali's mother, who bred it to finish early in the season.
Ay Papi works the cultivar in several formats. It washes Whitethorn Rose into six-star full-melt ice water hash, presses it into live rosin and infuses that rosin into single-origin gummies. Paradise Rose, a Whitethorn Rose and Paradise Punch cross from Huckleberry Hill Farms, goes into a live rosin gummy as well.
Live rosin, jam and full melt
The concentrate menu reads like a farm roster. Ay Papi's Weedmaps catalog lists live rosin in Country Rose, Golden Hour, Huckleberry Delight, Lychee Berry, MVP 23, Moroccan Delight, Nigerian Rose, Peach Treez, Riddlez, Ridgeline Rose, Sapphire Thumbprint, Sour Peaches, Sour Z, Savage Grapes and Whitethorn Rose. Moroccan Peaches comes as live rosin jam. The full-melt lineup includes Purple Papaya and Whitethorn Rose.
GMO x OZK live rosin, made with Mattole Valley Sungrown, pairs Garlic Cookies with a Zkittlez and OG Kush cross. Budist scored it 94 points in a February 2025 review and called out the pop-vac jar and the text printed inside the box lid.
Single-origin live rosin gummies
The gummies carry the same single-origin logic into edibles. Each pack holds 10 pieces at 10mg THC, 100mg total, infused with live rosin from one named cultivar. The recipes are vegan, with pectin in place of gelatin. Sespe Creek Collective in Ojai lists the Sour Whitethorn Rose gummy at $27, with an ingredient panel of water, pectin, tapioca syrup, sodium citrate and Whitethorn Rose live rosin.
Cultivars rotate with the harvests. Retail menus have carried Super Boof, Satsuma Sherbert, Blackberry Limeade, Sour Peach, Sour Diesel, Purple Papaya, Paradise Rose and Sour Whitethorn Rose.
Back-to-back Golden Bears at the State Fair
Ay Papi's trophy case starts at the California State Fair Cannabis Awards. In 2024, its Six Star Full Melt Whitethorn Rose with Huckleberry Hill Farms won the Golden Bear in concentrates, and Leafly listed it among the gold medalists in hash.
The 2025 competition drew more than 600 entries, and Ay Papi left Cal Expo with two of the nine Golden Bears. Sour Z Live Rosin Dual Consistency won concentrates, made with Mattole Valley Sungrown of Humboldt County, Canyon Creek Family Farms of Trinity County and My Green Network. The Whitethorn Rose Single Origin Live Rosin Infused Gummies, made with Huckleberry Hill Farms, won edibles.
Cannabis Business Times ran the full winners list in July 2025. That class also included Almora, which took the beverage Golden Bear with a Whitethorn Rose Pomberry Lemonade, a second trophy for the cultivar at the same ceremony.
MJBowl titles and the 2026 picture
The MJBowl Awards added two more. The competition put California producers head-to-head with New York producers, and My Green Network announced the results on January 14, 2026. Apple Pear Tajín gummies infused with Sour Peaches live rosin, grown by Whitethorn Valley Farms, won first place and overall-in-category in edibles.
Sapphire Thumbprint won first place and overall-in-category in concentrates. The build stacks three solventless parts: a Whitethorn Rose THCA diamond in the center, a Ridgeline Rose cold-cure outer ring and a Whitethorn Rose terpene fraction topped with more diamond. MGN credited Ridgeline Farms, Huckleberry Hill Farms and Whitethorn Valley Farms as the cultivation partners behind the winners.
In 2026, Ay Papi sells through licensed California retailers, with the live rosin gummies on the Sespe Creek Collective menu in Ojai and Ay Papi gummies listed at Legacy Kush in Santa Ana. The brand's Weedmaps catalog lists 20 solventless concentrates alongside the gummy line.
