Dr. Dabber builds electric dab rigs and concentrate vaporizers, and has been doing it since 2013. The Las Vegas company designs and engineers every device in-house, from the pen that made its name to the app-controlled Switch² e-rig that anchors the lineup today.
About the brand
The company started in 2013 out of frustration with the gear on shelves at the time, specifically questionable build quality and dated heating tech. Its answer was the Dr. Dabber Ghost, a low-heat vaporizer pen that collected more awards than almost anything else in its category and set the tone for everything that followed.
Dr. Dabber operates as a technology company first. Design and engineering happen in-house from start to finish rather than getting farmed out to a contract manufacturer, and every device ships under an industry-leading warranty. That discipline is why the hardware gets iterated on instead of replaced every season.
What they make
The current catalog runs from pocket gear to countertop hardware. The Switch² is the flagship electric rig at $420, the Switch GO shrinks that same experience by 54 percent for travel, and the Ghost² and XS cover the compact end at $119.95 and $159.95. The Light kit sits at $24.95 for anyone starting out.
Everything is modular. Swappable e-chambers, quartz, titanium and sapphire inserts, replacement glass attachments, carb caps and the heated Drop loading tool mean a rig gets upgraded a piece at a time instead of thrown away. There is a Tour Bag for transport and an apparel line if you want the logo on your chest.
Under the hood
The Switch² is where the engineering shows. It runs 250 to 650 degrees Fahrenheit, heats in five to twenty seconds, and holds up to thirty cycles on a charge. A patented infrared sensor reads temperature directly, and a 20mm quartz insert takes whatever load you put in it.
The companion app is the part that separates it from most rigs. It controls temperature, hold times and lighting, plus Dynamic Heating Modes: Descent starts hot and tapers like a quartz banger, Ascent builds from low, and Steady holds one number. The Switch GO adds fully custom heating curves on top of that.
Buying and support
Domestic orders over $150 ship free and process in two to four business days, with Sezzle available for pay-in-four alongside the usual cards. There is a rewards program, a store locator for buying in person, and support agents reachable by email or live chat. Military, affiliate and wholesale programs are open as well.
The High Rise take
Dab hardware is full of disposable plastic that dies in six months. Dr. Dabber has spent over a decade doing the opposite, refining one platform generation after generation with parts you can actually replace. The Switch² is not cheap, but it is the kind of buy you make once and keep using.
If you are coming off a torch and a banger, the appeal is control. Set your temperature, pick a heating curve, and get the same hit every time without guessing at glowing quartz. That consistency is the whole pitch, and it is why the name still comes up whenever people talk about e-rigs.
