From F/ELD to FIELD
Early records used the F/ELD styling and described an “ultra-premium” Los Angeles extracts business. A 2018 financing announcement said the team raised $6 million for California expansion. The brand now appears as FIELD and remains listed in Glasshouse Brands’ consumer portfolio; ownership is distinct from its original founding team.
Fresh-frozen live resin
FIELD says it works with a grower network to choose fresh-frozen material for live resin. Its current resin catalog is sold as dabbable concentrate across rotating cultivars and collaborations. “Fire in, fire out” and experience claims are brand language, while input partner, extraction batch and laboratory results must be verified on the package.
Live rosin
The solventless line combines ice-water hash making with pressing technology to produce live rosin. Unlike live resin, rosin does not rely on hydrocarbon solvent extraction. The distinction matters: consumers should not treat “live,” “rosin” and “resin” as synonyms when comparing process, storage or price.
Cartridges and Sauce Pens
FIELD’s one-gram cartridge is marketed as 100% live resin without distillate, cutting agents or added terpenes. The disposable Sauce Pen is designed around the same live-resin concept for portable use. Those composition statements are first-party claims and should be checked against the exact batch label and certificate where available.
Strains and collaborations
The site highlights rotating drops such as Blueberry Cookies, First Class Funk, Modified Grapes, Papaya Ice, Wedding Crasher and Sundae Mintz. Its archive also names collaborations including Wizard Trees. A cultivar appearing in an archive does not establish current stock, and collaboration credit should follow the partner named on the release.
Historical award record
A 2018 financing release lists first-place results at Masters of Rosin in Barcelona for Best Hash Rosin and Best Overall, at the Amsterdam High Times Cannabis Cup for Best Hash, and at Chalice Los Angeles for Best Hash Rosin and Best Sativa Rosin. It also lists second in Sacramento High Times solventless hash and Chalice third-place finishes for hash rosin and vape pens.
Later recognition and limits
The 2021 Emerald Cup result release credits Moonbow Butter Frosting to Suprize Suprize, High Water Farms and Field Extracts, illustrating the importance of collaborator attribution. FIELD’s current site calls its products award-winning but does not publish a reconciled year-by-year ledger, so historical results are presented as attributed records rather than an inflated total.
