FloraCal Farms is a premium cannabis brand founded in 2014 in Sonoma County, California by husband-and-wife cultivators Drew and Karen Duval. They designed, built and operated one of the county's first cultivation and processing facilities licensed under California's Medical Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act. The brand is now part of Cresco Labs, where the Duvals oversee commercial sales and cultivation, and its California operation runs under licence CCL18-0002186.
The Sonoma operation
The Duvals grew the business from roughly $700,000 in sales in 2015 to $6.4 million in revenue in fiscal 2017 out of 15,000 square feet. Their indoor flower carried an average selling price of more than $17 per gram, at the ultra-premium end of the California market. The brand builds growing environments that emulate summer solstice and autumnal equinox conditions, mixes fertiliser to a set recipe and irrigates by strain.
Two changes of ownership
In July 2018, after more than four years running the business, the Duvals sold FloraCal Farms to Origin House, then doing business as CannaRoyalty Corp., in a cash-and-stock transaction of roughly $28 million. Cresco Labs closed its acquisition of Origin House on January 8, 2020. Karen Duval became vice president of commercial sales at Cresco and Drew Duval moved into cultivation leadership. Production runs through state-regulated operations, so FloraCal product sold in Illinois or Michigan is grown and packaged in that state.
Cultivation and extraction
Flower is hand-harvested and hand-trimmed after a selection process Cresco describes as rigorous. Concentrates use solventless extraction, separating the oil-bearing material from the raw plant with ice water and manual agitation rather than chemical solvents.
Products and cultivars
The catalogue covers hand-trimmed flower, premium pre-rolls, live rosin cartridges, live rosin concentrates and live rosin edibles. Named cultivars in the brand's strain index include Purple Churro, Slurricrasher, Lemon Tree Nigerian Haze, Canal Street Runtz, Air Gelato #23 and South Tahoe OG. The April 2022 Illinois launch covered 3.5-gram hand-trimmed flower, 500-milligram live rosin vape cartridges and 1-gram live rosin badder, sold at Sunnyside dispensaries and other licensed retailers.
Awards
FloraCal's Pink Lemonade Live Rosin Gummies took first place in the AU Edibles: Non-Solvent Gummies category at the 2023 High Times Cannabis Cup Michigan: People's Choice Edition.
The official site now presents FloraCal as grown by Cresco Labs and routes adults to products, a strain index, a store locator and the brand's Sonoma heritage. Retail availability has expanded beyond the original California operation, but the licensed producer, cultivar, potency and package size remain market-specific. An Illinois launch, for example, paired flower with live rosin cartridges and badder made inside that state's regulated supply chain rather than moving finished cannabis across state lines.

A September 2026 Headset snapshot observed FloraCal products in flower, edibles, concentrates and vapor pens across several licensed markets. The listed leaders included Wild Berry and Pink Lemonade live rosin gummies, Purple Plague flower and rosin or vape products. Market-data feeds reflect participating retailers and can contain classification or menu errors, so they are best used as evidence of active retail presence rather than a complete national catalog.
Reading the package
The same brand can cover different products from state to state.
