LivWell Enlightened Health is a Colorado cannabis retailer founded by John Lord in 2009 and acquired by PharmaCann in 2022. Its current public network comprises 17 Colorado dispensaries, with recreational service throughout the chain and medical menus at selected locations. Founder and early growth
John Lord founded LivWell in Colorado in 2009, when the business began with a single location. Contemporary company and business profiles identify him as founder and CEO during the chain’s expansion. The brand grew alongside Colorado’s medical and adult-use markets, making its long operating history more important than generic claims that it “pioneered” retail.
PharmaCann acquisition
PharmaCann completed its acquisition of LivWell Holdings on February 28, 2022. The announcement said the combined company then had more than 50 dispensaries and 10 cultivation and production facilities across eight states, and that Lord would join PharmaCann’s board. Current ownership therefore sits with PharmaCann, whose retail portfolio also includes Verilife.
Current Colorado store network
LivWell’s live locator lists 17 Colorado dispensaries spanning the Denver metro, Aurora, Broomfield, Berthoud, Fort Collins, Garden City, Lakewood, Log Lane Village, Pueblo and Cortez. The company offers online pickup ordering at every location. Because store networks change, the official locator—not an old corporate total—should control.
Recreational and medical access
Most locations are recreational-only. LivWell’s current site identifies Berthoud, Fort Collins, Garden City and Lakewood as carrying both recreational and medical menus. Adult-use customers must meet Colorado age and identification rules, while medical purchasing requires a valid state medical marijuana card.
Menu and house products
Stores sell flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles, concentrates, tinctures and topicals from outside Colorado brands and LivWell’s own line. The company’s about page says flower is sourced from Colorado cultivators, while current menus identify the actual brand and batch. This mixed-retail model should not be reduced to either “only a house brand” or “only a third-party marketplace.”
Find Your Feel retail system
LivWell organizes stores and menus around Rest, Relief, Calm, Focus, Bliss and Energize, with roaming “Wellness Guides” and function-based layouts. That is a merchandising and service framework, not clinical evidence that a product will reliably create the named outcome. The actual experience still varies by product, dose, person and context.
Rewards and shopping tools
The Gratify Rewards program is shared across participating LivWell, Green Dragon and Star Buds stores and uses points, store credits and tiered rewards. LivWell also advertises online ordering and a forthcoming mobile-app experience. Program terms, inventory and promotions change, so the current rewards page and selected store menu remain authoritative.
Regulatory history
Michigan’s Cannabis Regulatory Agency listed LivWell Michigan LLC, processor license AU-P-000139, in its September 2023 disciplinary actions for general operational issues, with fines imposed. That event concerned a Michigan processing license, not the 17-store Colorado retail network, and the scope should not be broadened. Including it nevertheless provides material operator history beyond marketing copy.
