At a glance
Ooze is a Michigan cannabis-hardware and smoking-accessory brand founded in 2015 by Vincent Ayar, Gjergj Sinishtaj, Danny Hannawa and Steve Hannawa. What began with an adjustable 510-thread battery expanded into concentrate devices, electronic rigs, dry-herb vaporizers, glass, silicone, storage and a wholesale house of brands now called Cannatron.
Four founders in Oak Park
The founders started the business in a roughly 2,000-square-foot Michigan warehouse with fewer than five employees. Reporting names Ayar, Sinishtaj and brothers Danny and Steve Hannawa as the four owners behind the original company.
They entered hardware rather than plant-touching cannabis operations, aiming to improve the reliability, battery life and accountability of generic vaporizer pens then filling smoke-shop shelves.
The Slim Twist origin
Ooze’s early flagship was the Slim Twist: a pen-style, 510-thread battery with adjustable voltage and a twist-on charging system. Universal cartridge compatibility and simple voltage control gave the brand a clear starting product.
The current catalog carries that idea forward through Twist Slim Pen 2.0, Smart Battery, Digit and Quad models, alongside concealed and novelty-shaped 510 devices.
From Ooze Wholesale to Cannatron
As the catalog grew, the founders built Ooze Wholesale to distribute both their own products and partner brands. In 2021 the wholesale company changed its name to Cannatron to clarify that it had become a house of brands rather than only an Ooze distributor.
Ooze remains Cannatron’s flagship. Other distributed or house brands have included King Palm, Truweigh, Stache, Happy Kit and Loud Lock, separating the consumer device label from the wider business-to-business operation.
Rapid growth recognition
Ooze Wholesale ranked number 58 on the 2019 Inc. 5000. Its own announcement said this placed it second among cannabis-sector companies and second among Michigan companies on that year’s list.
Cannatron also reports Inc. recognition in 2020. These are company-growth rankings tied to the wholesale entity, not product-quality awards for a particular battery.
510-thread hardware today
The modern 510 range spans pen batteries, compact blocks, cartridge-concealing bodies and character devices. Product features can include variable voltage, preheat, digital displays, auto draw or button control.
Because not every battery supports every cartridge diameter, resistance or charging method, users should match the exact manual and accessory. A shared 510 thread does not make all hardware electrically identical.
Concentrate devices and C-Core
Ooze’s concentrate category includes dab pens, C-Core devices, hot knives and electronic rigs such as Booster, Duplex 2 and Electro Barrel. Replaceable atomizers and glass components make these a different support category from simple oil-cart batteries.
The company markets C-Core around ceramic heating. Current coil, temperature and replacement-part specifications should be taken from the individual product page rather than applied across the entire line.
Dry herb, glass and accessories
The catalog now includes dry-herb vaporizers such as Pinch, Brink, Verge, Flare and Drought, plus grinders, rolling trays, silicone-and-glass pipes, bongs, storage and cleaning supplies.
This breadth is a retail strategy, not evidence that all products share one technology or warranty. Electronic dry-herb devices, glass and accessories have different return, maintenance and coverage rules.
Warranty and counterfeit controls
Ooze offers a five-year standard limited warranty on a defined list of covered batteries and a one-year limited warranty on many other electronics. Non-electronic products such as glass, trays and silicone accessories are excluded.
Coverage requires registration with the authentication code on the device or package. Ooze specifically warns against products sold through unauthorized marketplaces and provides a counterfeit-claim process.
How to evaluate an Ooze product. Confirm the model, authentic code, seller authorization, battery capacity, voltage range, charger, cartridge clearance, warranty class and replacement-part availability. Read the manual for the exact device and do not assume an older charger matches a newer battery.
The accurate profile is a four-founder Michigan company that scaled one adjustable 510 pen into a broad accessories brand and used its distribution growth to build Cannatron.
