Ooze is an Oak Park, Michigan hardware brand that makes 510-thread batteries, dry herb vaporizers, e-rigs and silicone pipes, and sells none of the cannabis that goes in them. Four owners started it in Michigan in 2015 with a single battery, the Slim Twist. The shelf now holds character batteries with digital screens, a triple-heat dry herb vaporizer and $18 silicone bubblers.

Four owners and a Slim Twist
The owners are Vincent Ayar, Gjergj Sinishtaj and brothers Danny and Steve Hannawa. Metro Times reported in 2019 that Steve Hannawa had brought e-cigarette technology to Michigan before the group launched a battery of its own. That battery, the Slim Twist, arrived in April 2015. Ayar told Metro Times it was the company's best-selling product to date.
The opening was obvious to them. Danny Hannawa told City Pulse that most vape batteries on the market at the time were cheap, unbranded devices. Ayar put it plainly to Metro Times: "Nobody was really putting a brand behind this stuff." He wanted a brand built on fun and loud graphics.
From a 2,000-square-foot start to an Oak Park complex
Ooze started with less than 2,000 square feet of space and fewer than five employees. By 2019 it had almost 50 employees and nearly 45,000 square feet of warehouse and showroom space, according to Metro Times, and it was still expanding across its industrial complex.
The company also leans on a stated rule. Its About page promises never to make a product the team wouldn't use itself, and describes the crew as experienced cannabis connoisseurs trying to bring creativity and fun to the industry. The design brief is gear simple enough for a first-timer that still catches a veteran's eye.
Twist Slim Pen 2.0 and the character vapes
The Slim Twist got its sequel on September 19, 2022. Ooze launched the Twist Slim Pen 2.0 in 18 colors with pulse wave technology, auto draw and automatic shut-off, alongside the Movez, a wireless speaker vape with a rainbow LED ring. Founder and president Danny Hannawa said the original goal was a brand customers could trust for their vape pens.
The 2.0 now sells for $16 to $20 in 16 colors, with a 320 mAh battery and a 2.0V to 4.0V dial. The company calls it its best-selling pen, made even better. Around it sit the Runt, Peel, Hinge, Duet, Novex 2, Digit, Smart Battery and Quad 2.
The character line is where the graphics instinct shows. Bot, Hoot and Shroom carry built-in digital screens. The Bot is a robot-shaped 650 mAh battery with dual 510 threads, a chamber that hides the cartridge, a puff counter and interchangeable legs. It adjusts from 1.8V to 4.2V in 0.1V steps and sells for $25, including a cow-print colorway called Mooze.
C-Core, the Verge and the Electro Barrel
Ooze launched C-Core on March 6, 2023, billing itself in the release as the maker of the nation's best-selling vape battery. The line covered three extract devices, the Booster, Electro Barrel and Beacon, plus the Verge for dry herb, all built around the company's patented ceramic. Marketing director Tristan Blackett called it the biggest release in years.
The Verge Dry Herb Vaporizer heats three ways at once: conduction through a Nano-Glazed C-Core ceramic, convection and far infrared. It packs a 2,500 mAh battery, a 0.5-gram ceramic chamber and a color OLED screen, runs from 302°F to 446°F and sells for $138. The Electro Barrel E-Rig uses a 2,000 mAh battery and Onyx atomizers, and sells for $68.
The dry herb shelf also carries the Pinch, Brink, Flare and Drought. In a January 13, 2026 Q&A, Cannatron president Dan Hannawa pointed to the Pinch as a slim flower vape that retails for about the price of a standard Ooze pen.
Kettles, Ozones and the silicone shelf
Silicone has been part of the mix since at least 2019, when Metro Times listed the Slugger Dabbin Dugout and the Ooze Silicone Kettle Bubbler. The Kettle Silicone Bong still sells as a water bubbler and dab rig for $18, next to the Steamboat and Trip Pipe.
The 4-in-1 hybrids go further. The Ozone Silicone Bong and Dab Straw works as a water pipe, dab rig and dab straw, and the Clobb, Hyborg and Blaster follow the same idea. Ooze also sells the Piper hand pipe for $10, Cryo freezable glycerin bowls for $28, and the Ripley and Trigger dab rigs.
Authenticity codes, warranties and Tokin rewards
Battery devices carry an authenticity code on the base or on a scratch-off card, and registering that code activates the warranty. Pen-style batteries such as the Smart Battery, Digit, Twist Slim Pen 2.0 and Quad 2 carry five years. Handheld devices including the Hover, Pinch, Brink, Booster, Titan and Duplex 2 carry one year. The company names the marketplaces it doesn't sell on: eBay, DHGate, AliExpress and Temu. Ooze runs a loyalty program called Ooze Tokin Rewards, and bundle discounts reach 30%.
Hotel Lucky and Ooze in 2026
Every year, Ooze designers draw a single theme for the merch. For 2026 it is Hotel Lucky, a limited-edition run of birthday candles, paper fans, can koozies, a 500-piece puzzle, a bunny magnet and stickers, sold alone or in $11 to $28 bundles with names like the Game Room and Gift Shop.
