Ooze is a Michigan vape-hardware and smoking-accessory brand based in Oak Park. Its line of personal vaporizer batteries launched in 2014 under founders Vince Ayar, Gjergj Sinishtaj and brothers Dan and Steve Hannawa, and the company has since expanded into concentrate devices, dab rigs, dry-herb vaporizers, glass, storage and a wholesale operation now called Cannatron. Ooze makes hardware; it is not a plant-touching cannabis operator.
Origin and the Slim Twist
The founders started in less than 2,000 square feet of space and set out to build vape pens with dependable battery life and safety features. The early flagship was the Slim Twist, a pen-style 510-thread battery with adjustable voltage and a twist-on charging mechanism built to accommodate the range of cannabis and CBD cartridges then reaching the market. By 2019 the company was moving into nearly 45,000 square feet of warehouse and showroom space and employed close to 50 people.

The current 510 range includes the Slim Twist and Twist Slim Pen 2.0, Smart Battery, Digit, Quad 2, Runt, Peel, Hinge, Hivo, Duet, Novex 2, Movez, Bot, Hoot and Shroom. Features across the line include variable voltage, preheat, digital displays, auto draw and button control.
Concentrate and dry-herb devices
The concentrate category covers wax and dab pens, the Hover, C-Core devices, Duplex 2, Titan and Booster, plus electronic dab rigs including Ripley, Trigger and Electro Barrel. The dry-herb line runs Pinch, Brink, Verge, Flare and Drought. Accessories include chargers, coils and attachments, hot knife tools, Onyx atomizers, grinders, rolling trays, bongs, bowls and smell-proof bags.
Ooze Wholesale and Cannatron
The founders built Ooze Wholesale to distribute their own products alongside partner brands. In July 2021 the wholesale company renamed itself Cannatron, describing itself as a house of brands rather than a branded house. Cannatron's house brands are Ooze, King Palm, Truweigh, Loud Lock, Stache and Happy Kit, and it stocks partner lines including Green Monkey, Raw, Elements and Clipper. Inc. named Ooze Wholesale to its list of the country's fastest-growing companies in both 2019 and 2020.
Warranty and authentication
The Ooze Standard Limited Warranty covers a named set of batteries, including Smart Battery, Digit, Twist Slim Pen 2.0, Slim Twist, Slim Twist Pro, Touchless, Quad and Quad 2, for five years from retail purchase. The Ooze Limited Warranty covers most other electronics, among them Booster, Brink, Duplex, Drought, Electro Barrel, Flare, Hover, Pinch, Titan and Verge, for one year. Products without a battery, such as glass, silicone pieces, rolling trays and attachments, are excluded. Coverage requires registering the authenticity code on the device base or scratch-off card.
