What Standard Farms is

Standard Farms is a regulated cannabis cultivation and manufacturing brand operating through separate Pennsylvania and Ohio businesses. The two-state structure matters: Pennsylvania combines greenhouse cultivation and medical-product manufacturing, while the Ohio operation is an extraction and manufacturing facility supplied within Ohio's licensed market.

Founding and early Pennsylvania history

Standard Farms was among Pennsylvania's early medical cannabis permittees. Corporate acquisition materials name Jonathan Goldrath as a co-founder and chief financial officer and reported that the company had shipped more than 200,000 product units by early 2019. Those figures are dated historical milestones, not current volume.

TILT Holdings ownership

TILT Holdings completed its acquisition of Standard Farms LLC in January 2019. TILT's filings identify Standard Farms Pennsylvania and Standard Farms Ohio as operating subsidiaries. Ownership and financial condition should be checked against the newest public filing because corporate portfolios and licensing arrangements can change.

Pennsylvania cultivation and products

TILT described the Pennsylvania business as a 33,500-square-foot greenhouse cultivation operation producing flower, vape cartridges, capsules, oil syringes and tinctures for wholesale distribution. A 2024 filing said products reached approximately 90% of Pennsylvania dispensaries, a company-reported figure tied to that filing period rather than a permanent coverage guarantee.

Ohio extraction and products

The Ohio operation uses a roughly 21,000-square-foot facility outside Cleveland with an industrial kitchen and carbon-dioxide extraction. Corporate filings list tinctures, vape cartridges, syringes, topicals, concentrates and edibles. Because cannabis cannot move across state lines, the Ohio and Pennsylvania supply chains and labels should not be conflated.

Licensed-brand manufacturing

TILT has used Standard Farms infrastructure to manufacture or distribute partner brands where approved, including planned launches under licensing arrangements. A product carrying another consumer brand can therefore still identify Standard Farms as the licensed producer. Package-level processor information is the definitive link.

Website and catalog limitations

The consumer site presents product categories but also contains generic placeholder copy and example strain labels, so it is not a reliable complete catalog. Current dispensary menus and state-compliant labels are better evidence of active SKUs. Do not infer a cultivar, formulation or availability solely from a legacy website card.

Medical claims and patient safety

Standard Farms' site uses therapeutic language for indica, sativa, CBD and 1:1 products. Those statements should not be read as individualized medical advice or proof that a product treats a condition. Patients should follow their clinician's guidance, match laboratory data to the lot, avoid driving while impaired and secure products from children and pets.

Research notes and claim limits. This profile relies on TILT public filings, acquisition materials, the Pennsylvania permit record and Standard Farms' own site. Facility and distribution numbers are labeled by year. It does not infer current profitability, dispensary count, complete ownership, clinical efficacy, award history or a clean safety record from silence. State recall portals and current filings remain the controlling checks.
