Cindy 99 diamonds are a solvent-extracted concentrate from Summit Boys, made from the Cinderella 99 cultivar that MrSoul created for Brothers Grimm Seeds in 1999. The genetics are Princess × P94, the last step in a four-generation backcross to a single Jack Herer female.
Summit Boys handles the extraction. Brothers Grimm supplies the cultivar history behind the jar, including a 3rd-place finish in the sativa category at the 2015 Karma Cup.
Summit Boys and its solvent lineup
Summit Boys makes solvent-based concentrates and sells them in Arizona, California and Oklahoma, according to its Leafly brand page.
The lineup centers on its Caviar textures. Leafly lists Caviar Crumble and Caviar Sugar in 1 g packs, along with a Caviar Badder made with Fresh Baked from Apple Fritter that tested at 79.5% THC.
Its strain list leans on OG and dessert genetics, with Gorilla Sherbet, Sour Pie, Bubble Gum, Gorilla OG, OG Kush, Double Scotts OG, Brulee and Miss GG among the extracts. Cindy 99 adds a sativa-dominant classic to that list.
Diamonds as a format
Diamonds are a concentrate format built around large, separated cannabinoid crystals. That sets them apart from softer, whipped formats such as badder, and from the sandy texture of crumble.
Within Summit Boys' range, diamonds sit beside the Caviar Crumble, Sugar and Badder releases as the crystalline option. Cindy 99 brings a sativa-dominant cultivar into that format, where most of the brand's list runs toward OG and Gorilla genetics.
Princess and the Sensi Smile seeds
The genetics start in Amsterdam. In 1996, MrSoul pulled seeds from Jack Herer bud bought at the Sensi Smile coffeeshop, and one standout female became Princess.
Princess matured in about 50 days and produced outrageous amounts of resin. Brothers Grimm, run by MrSoul, whose name is Rick Campanella, and his partner Sly, built the Cinderella project around her. The same company later released Apollo 13 and Rosetta Stone.
The method was cubing: repeated backcrosses to the same mother, each one raising her share of the genetics. The goal was a seed line that reproduced Princess reliably.
How Princess × P94 came together
MrSoul crossed Princess with a resinous Shiva Skunk male to make P50. He then took males from each generation back to Princess, moving through P75 and P88 to P94.
Cinderella 99 is Princess crossed with a P94 male. Next to Princess, the finished line showed 25% greater yield and a stronger branch structure. MrSoul first documented the work online in June 2000, in a post titled A Cinderella Story, and began producing feminized seeds in 2016.
The source plant is an efficient one. Brothers Grimm sells the regular seed line in 13-seed packs and lists a flowering time of 56–65 days, with indoor plants finishing near 48 inches and yielding 4–8 ounces each. Outdoors, a single plant can return about a pound.
Karma Cup results and a long family tree
Seedfinder records two Karma Cup placings in the sativa category: 9th in 2014 and 3rd in 2015. The same database lists more than 300 direct descendants bred from Cinderella 99.
Leafly records THC around 18% for the flower and names limonene, caryophyllene and myrcene as its main terpenes. It classifies the Cindy 99 strain as a sativa-dominant hybrid, also known as C99 or Cindy, and more than 1,200 users have rated it.
Those users most often report feeling energetic, uplifted and focused. Leafly lists Amnesia and Sour Apple among its descendants, which keeps the Princess line alive well beyond the original seed release.
