Skywalker Cake Rosin

Brand: Punch Extracts

Type: rosin

Skywalker Cake Rosin is a Punch Extracts press whose name joins two of the most reused words on a California menu. There is no documented Skywalker Cake cultivar — the Skywalkers that do have paperwork are separate plants, and none of them is a cake cross.

Watch The Name

The documented Skywalkers are distinct from each other: Skywalker is Dutch Passion's Mazar crossed with Blueberry; Skywalker OG is that plant crossed with OG Kush; Skywalker Kush is a third name again. Adding "Cake" to any of them does not describe a cross anyone has published.

Read it as a house name for a specific press, then buy it on the producer and the batch panel. A menu that hands you a confident lineage for this one is filling in a blank.

How It's Made

Rosin is pressed with heat and pressure and no hydrocarbon solvent. Hash rosin begins from ice-water hash rather than whole flower — the resin is separated before pressing rather than squeezed out of intact plant material.

Texture is decided entirely after the press. A fresh press is glossy; a cold cure sets opaque and spreadable; longer purging dries toward crumble. None of those states is a quality grade, and colour is not one either.

Who Makes It

Punch Edibles & Extracts, founded in Los Angeles in 2013, operates across California, Oklahoma, and New York. Their solventless catalog grades rosin Tier 1 through 4, made with named farm partners credited on the jar.

The High Rise Take

An unpublished name on a documented press is worth buying for the press. Compare a documented cake cross on Wedding Cake Rosin, or browse the High Rise concentrate library.
