IgniteIt's Capital & Policy Summit brings cannabis operators, investors, executives and policymakers to Washington, DC on Wednesday, November 18, 2026. The one-day conference runs 7:00 AM–8:00 PM Eastern at the Grand Hyatt Washington DC, and it pairs strategic networking with education on federal cannabis policy and market opportunity.
The point of holding it in the capital is simple. The conversations about rescheduling, banking and interstate commerce happen a few blocks away, and this summit puts the people who fund and run cannabis companies in the same room as the people who write the rules.
Who produces it
IgniteIt is a cannabis conference company that runs business-focused events around the country. The company counts more than 50 events across more than five cities, roughly 10,000 attendees and more than 100 sponsors. Its calendar includes the IgniteIt Market Spotlight: California in Los Angeles on October 7 and the Cannabis Capital Conference Miami in March 2027.
The first edition
The 2026 summit is the second edition. IgniteIt held the inaugural Cannabis Capital & Policy Summit in November 2025. According to the organizer, that first event drew more than 300 executives, a long list of cannabis companies and investors, one Democratic US senator and two Republican congressmen.
That mix is the reason to go. Policy panels are common across the conference circuit, but few of them put sitting lawmakers, capital allocators and multi-state operators on one floor for a full day.

IgniteIt lists more than 30 confirmed speakers. Operators, capital firms and cannabis law practices are all represented, with executives from Embarc, Humboldt Family Farms and Mammoth Distribution, and attorneys from ArentFox Schiff, Blank Rome and Thompson Hine.
