Los Angeles Zine Fest

Date: 2026-11-07T11:00:00-08:00

Location: Angel City Derby Warehouse, 785 E. 14th Pl., Los Angeles, CA 90021

Organizer: L.A. Zine Fest

Los Angeles Zine Fest brings independent publishing to Angel City Derby Warehouse on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The free annual gathering is in its thirteenth year, with a programme built around zines, small-batch print, independent bookstores and the people making and sharing that work. The organizer announces more than 350 zine vendors alongside community groups, workshops and panels.

The attraction starts at the tables. Zines at this year’s festival span politics, personal narratives, photography, graphic design and visual art. Readers can move between different subjects and visual approaches, while artists have a place to put their work directly in front of an audience. The Fashion District warehouse becomes a gathering point for that exchange over one Saturday.

The current exhibitor list includes Martian Press, Other Books, Comics, and Zines, Burn All Books & Friends, and RISO Studio Arts. These are specific stops to look for across the festival’s print and publishing community. The online roster assigns table numbers to exhibitors, making it useful for finding a particular press or planning a route through the room.

Comics, illustration and photography have their own presence in the roster. Exhibitors include Deth P. Sun, A.C. Esguerra, John F. Malta Studio, Garrett Troutman Photography and Korean American Cooking Comics. Prism Comics / Stacked Deck Press and Dum Dum Zine are also listed. The variety gives visitors room to follow an interest in drawing, storytelling or printed images across multiple tables.

Community organizations and libraries sit alongside individual makers. Los Angeles Public Library, Los Angeles Tool Library and Los Angeles Queer Zine Fest, represented by TRANS•FORM and ONE Archives, appear on the list. Los Angeles Spoonie Collective and L.A. Taco are also participating. Their presence connects the publishing marketplace with local institutions, independent media and community networks.

Hands-on workshops and panels are part of the announced festival programme. The wider organization also runs monthly workshops, treating zine-making as a practical way to share personal work and learn through paper-based projects. The festival’s emphasis on direct exchange makes it a place to encounter the publications and the people behind them during the same visit.

The organizers bring their own publishing and community experience to the gathering. Julie Fiveash makes zines about Indigenous and queer experience; Noah Orozco founded the Zine-o-Matic subscription service; and Ziba is a Los Angeles public librarian who previously helped organize Long Beach Zine Fest. Their work connects the festival with self-publishing, distribution and library culture.

The first L.A. Zine Fest took place on February 19, 2012, on the second floor of Downtown LA’s Spring Arts Tower. It brought together more than 85 exhibitors, panels and workshops. The founders describe an effort to create a shared place for LA’s zine community, followed by editions that quickly outgrew their venues. That history provides the foundation for the current gathering.

The 2026 venue is Angel City Derby Warehouse, 785 E. 14th Place, Los Angeles, California 90021. The organizer’s illustrated event poster confirms the November 7 date and 11 a.m.–5 p.m. hours. Admission is free, and the public Partiful page provides an RSVP option. The official website carries the current exhibitor directory and links to the festival’s other activities.

For readers, artists and print collectors, the day offers a concentrated look at independent work being made in and around Los Angeles. Use the vendor directory to locate familiar names, then leave time for the presses, artists and community tables you have yet to encounter. The festival closes at 5 p.m., keeping the main gathering within a single daytime visit.
