Putting them together on August 14 at The Regent, with DJ Rashida alongside, is the kind of booking that works because both DJs actually understand the catalog rather than just the hits.
DJ Rashida brings her own history here. She toured as Prince's DJ, spending years in his orbit and working the rooms he played. That is not a credential you can fake, and it means the deep cuts on this night come from someone who heard them from the source.
