NECANN brings the New England Cannabis Convention back to the Hynes Convention Center in Boston on Friday, April 9 and Saturday, April 10, 2027. Show hours run 10:00 AM–5:00 PM on Friday and 10:00 AM–4:00 PM on Saturday. The NECANN Cup awards share the bill with the expo floor and a full slate of programming sessions.
What the convention is
NECANN calls the Boston show the annual meeting of the Northeast cannabis industry, a role it has held since 2015. The organizer has produced B2B cannabis networking and education events since 2014. For 2027, NECANN lists 300+ exhibitors, 9,000+ attendees and 60+ programming sessions, plus the NECANN Cup awards.
This is a business show. NECANN states that the convention is for B2B attendees only and that no consumer sales are permitted. No cannabis of any kind can be sold, distributed or displayed at the venue, so the floor belongs to brands, suppliers, service providers and the operators who buy from them.
Dates and hours
Friday, April 9 is the longer day, with the floor open 10:00 AM–5:00 PM. Saturday, April 10 runs 10:00 AM–4:00 PM. The box office opens at 9:00 AM and takes cash only. Badge holders can leave and re-enter as often as they like, which makes it easy to step out for meetings and come back to the floor.
Who can attend
Attendees must be 21+, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian, and children under 21 who come with a parent do not need a ticket. No medical card is required. Because the convention is B2B only, it is aimed at people working in the cannabis industry rather than retail shoppers.
Tickets and passes
Attendee registration for 2027 is listed as coming soon, and NECANN has not posted general ticket prices yet. Licensees and buyers can apply now for free admission through NECANN's licensee and buyer application. Only the VVIP ticket includes access to the Friday after-party at Kings.
All tickets are non-refundable. A replacement for a lost badge costs $25 at the registration desk, so keep yours on you for both days.
Venue and getting there
The Hynes Convention Center sits at 900 Boylston St in Boston's Back Bay, MA 02115. NECANN notes that the venue is easy to reach from regional highways, passenger rail lines and local airports. Selected hotel discount blocks are available to registered exhibitors and VIP ticket holders.
Know before you go
Hynes security can search all bags and backpacks and may refuse any bag. Videotaping speakers or programming is not allowed in any session, so take notes instead. Plan your floor time around Saturday's earlier close. Check the official site for last-minute changes.
