PAX West 2026 is underway at the Seattle Convention Center from Friday, September 4, through Monday, September 7. The event uses both the Arch and Summit buildings. General show hours are 10:00 AM to midnight Friday through Sunday and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday; expo halls run 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day. Badges were still offered through the official site when checked on September 5, but inventory can change during the event.
Two Buildings, Different Uses
Arch is at 705 Pike Street and Summit is at 900 Pine Street. Both contain expo activity, and the organizer publishes separate Arch and Summit hall pages and maps. Treating the event as one address risks sending attendees to the wrong entrance. The mobile app and live schedule are the best sources for room assignments and changes while PAX is in progress.
What Happens at PAX
The program includes playable demos, publisher and independent-game booths, panels, tournaments, tabletop gaming, concerts, cosplay, community meetups, and the multi-round Omegathon. PAX Rising Showcase highlights selected independent games, PAX Together centers community programming, and PAX Arena handles competitive events. A listed exhibitor or scheduled session is not guaranteed to remain unchanged, so this profile does not reproduce a static roster.
Planning a Day
The expo halls close well before the Friday-through-Sunday general show window, while evening concerts, tabletop activity, and other programming continue. Attendees prioritizing demos should arrive with the expo schedule in mind rather than the midnight building close. Security, entry, accessibility, and prohibited-item policies are maintained on the official site.
Current Lifecycle
Because September 5 falls inside the event window, this is a current-occurrence page, not an advance preview or historical recap. After the Monday close, ticket language and “underway” wording should be retired promptly and the page moved to historical status unless the editorial policy removes past events. A future PAX West must receive its own occurrence record rather than inheriting 2026 dates or ticket URLs.
