Rose City Comic Con

Date: 2026-09-11T13:00:00-07:00

Location: Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, OR 97232

Organizer: Rose City Comic Con

Rose City Comic Con runs September 11 to 13, 2026 at the Oregon Convention Center, filling the building's full exhibition footprint with three days of comics, gaming, cosplay and guest programming on Portland's east side.

Comics First, Everything Else Around It

The show is produced locally and keeps comics at the center — comic creators, artists and the process of making the work. Around that core it spreads into gaming, sci-fi, anime, fantasy and cosplay.

Rose City takes Halls A, A1, B, C, D and E. That is effectively every exhibition hall the convention center has, which is the clearest available measure of the show's scale.

Organizers state the aim plainly: a rewarding, fun and family-friendly experience built around comics and the people who make them. That framing is worth taking at face value when you plan — the weekend skews toward creators, panels and the show floor rather than late-night spectacle.

Three Days, Three Different Clocks

Friday is the short day: the floor opens at 1 PM and closes at 8 PM, with programming continuing until 10 PM. Saturday is the long one, running 10 AM to 7 PM on the floor and again holding programming until 10 PM.

Sunday opens at 10 AM and closes at 5 PM. If you are buying a single day and want the fullest version of the show, Saturday carries both the longest floor hours and the late programming.

The Guest List Is Still Moving

Guests are sorted into celebrities, voice actors, comic creators and authors, alongside a Rose City Jr strand aimed at younger attendees. Wil Wheaton is among the names announced so far.

The roster is deliberately unfinished. Organizers add guests up until the show opens, so the list in late August will not be the list you walk into in September. Check the guest page again in the week before you travel.

Where and When

Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, Oregon 97232, September 11 to 13, 2026. Badges are on sale through the organizer.

Organizers publish no age restriction and describe the show as family-friendly, so expect a mixed all-ages crowd rather than a 21-plus room.

The High Rise Take

Portland does not get a convention on this scale often, and Rose City is the Pacific Northwest's version of a room Los Angeles gets several times a year. It is a short flight from California and a cheaper weekend than the equivalent southern dates.

If you already work the circuit, L.A. Comic Con follows in October and DesignerCon in November. More dates are on the High Rise events calendar.
