Substance Los Angeles 2026

Date: 2026-10-24T18:00:00-07:00

Location: The Belasco, 1050 S Hill St, Los Angeles, CA 90015

Organizer: SUBSTANCE / Restless Nites

Substance returns to the Belasco on Saturday, October 24, 2026, with 21 acts across three stages. Drab Majesty leads a Los Angeles night built around darkwave, industrial music and synths, alongside A Split Second, Crash Course in Science, Kontravoid and Buzz Kull. Doors and the event start are listed for 6 p.m., with the festival taking over one evening in downtown LA.

A full night of alternative music

The bill brings live performers and electronic artists into the same gathering. Zanias, SRSQ, Spike Hellis, Madeline Goldstein and Void Vision appear alongside Laura Krieg, Ghost Cop and Automelodi. TR/ST is specifically billed for a DJ set. That distinction matters for anyone coming to hear a particular project: this appearance is a selection behind the decks, rather than an announced live TR/ST performance.

The lineup continues with Aux Animaux, Vioflesh, Die Sexual, Club Drugs, XTR Human, Blone Noble and God Tongue. Three stages give the programme room to move beyond a single headliner-and-support sequence. Individual set times and stage assignments are still to come, so the announced roster establishes who is playing without locking attendees into an invented running order.

Drab Majesty brings a local connection to the top of the poster. The Los Angeles project pairs Deb DeMure, Andrew Clinco’s performance persona, with Mona D, Alex Nicolaou. Its sound combines spacious guitar textures, synthesizer bass, programmed rhythms and vocals, drawing on New Wave and early 4AD influences. Dais Records confirms this Substance appearance as a headlining festival date.

The festival behind the bill

Substance describes its purpose through both sound and visual exploration, putting alternative-scene pioneers alongside current artists from Los Angeles and abroad. The festival has an established LA history: Restless Nites documented its 2022 edition at the Los Angeles Theater. This year’s gathering moves that continuing identity into the Belasco, with its own current lineup and one-night format.

The festival’s Los Angeles planner lets attendees save favourite acts without creating an account. Once set times arrive, those choices can become a personal schedule across the three stages. The Los Angeles date has its own programme; Substance’s San Francisco dates are separate events. Food will also be available in the bar area during the LA festival.

Tickets and the Belasco

Tickets are available through Ticketmaster. The current listing offers a standard General Admission tier at $75.50 and a General Admission Balcony VIP offer at $118.75. Displayed prices include fees before taxes, and availability can change. Choose the ticket’s stated admission option when booking; venue extras and separately advertised upgrades are not automatically part of a standard ticket.

The Belasco is at 1050 South Hill Street, on the corner of 11th and Hill in downtown Los Angeles. This event is all ages and uses a standing-room venue. An accessible area is available for wheelchair users and companions. The venue provides ramp access and accessible restrooms, but it does not have an elevator; accessible viewing is on the main floor.

Keep bags smaller than 12 by 12 inches and leave backpacks at home. The Belasco does not offer a coat check for oversized items, and leaving the venue ends your visit because re-entry is not permitted. Parking options are linked through the venue’s ParkWhiz page. Arrive for the 6 p.m. opening, then follow the festival’s published stage schedule as it becomes available.
