Where It Comes From
Milkyway Glass builds themed collections rather than one-off pieces, and the Hive Collection is where the bee work lives. The Nectar reworks Milkyway's earlier Beehive design with denser geometry, sharper etching, and organic forms hidden in the pattern. Color comes from their Dreamwork Depth process — frit color, sandblast, then fire polish — so the tones are permanent and carry real texture instead of sitting on the surface.
What It Actually Does
It is a straight-up beaker: water in the base, flower in the bowl, no percolator stack to clean out. The 12mm base and the 100mm footprint are what you notice first — this thing does not tip, and the extra glass mass keeps the piece planted once the bowl is loaded and you are pulling on it.
