Stardust Water Pipe

Brand: My Bud Vase

Price: $200

The Stardust is My Bud Vase's signature piece: a thick, textured glass decanter with hand-painted gold detailing and a matching stopper, which happens to be a fully working water pipe underneath. It stands 12 inches tall and 5 inches wide and sells for $200 direct from My Bud Vase.

Where It Comes From

My Bud Vase built a whole catalog on one idea — that a water pipe can sit on a table in plain sight and read as an ornament to anyone who does not already know what it is. Stardust is the flagship of that idea, styled like something off a bar cart in a 1970s Hollywood Hills house, and the gold is painted on by hand rather than printed.

What You Actually Get

Under the decor it is a conventional vase-style water pipe. A 4-inch fixed downstem runs into the base, and the piece ships with a 9mm custom slide holding a 3.25-inch large clear bubble bowl, so it works straight out of the box with nothing else to buy.

The kit is more complete than most: the vase itself, the Stardust custom slide, the fixed downstem, a black-and-gold joint poker without clip, a black satin storage bag, a gold pipe cleaning brush, the My Bud Vase tag, and a certificate of authenticity. The stopper is the part that does the disguising when it is not in use.

The Rest Of The Shelf

If gold is not your register, the Lotus and the Vamp run the same mechanism under different decor. Outside the brand, the Edie Parker tortoise water pipe chases the same hidden-in-plain-sight idea from a fashion angle.

All of them answer the same question: what do you do when the piece has to live on the table instead of in a drawer. Compare the whole field on the products page.
