At a glance
Almora is a California sun-grown cannabis brand owned by Mammoth Distribution. It began as a value-focused flower name and now spans whole and milled flower, pre-rolls, live-resin and live-rosin vapes, concentrates, edibles and infused beverages.
Ownership and history
The official site does not identify a separate Almora founder. The reliable ownership trail points to Mammoth Distribution, a family-owned California cannabis manufacturer and distributor whose co-founders include Skyler Sutton and Wesley Hein. Mammoth lists Almora among its wholly owned brands alongside Heavy Hitters and Papa & Barkley.
By 2021, industry reporting described Almora as one of California’s faster-growing flower brands. Mammoth’s wider distribution system gives it access to hundreds of licensed retail partners, but an Almora-specific store count is not published and should not be inferred from the parent total.
Sun-grown cultivation
Almora organizes its story around outdoor, sun-powered California cultivation. The company says it combines established agricultural practices, current genetics and sustainability priorities to offer accessible cannabis. Sun-grown production follows a harvest cycle and can vary by farm, season and batch more than a sealed indoor room.
That is not automatically a defect or an advantage. Sunlight can support a broad spectrum of plant development, while outdoor crops are also exposed to weather and environmental pressure. Package date, source farm and test results matter.
Current catalog
The current product family includes 3.5-gram whole flower, 14- and 28-gram milled flower, seven-gram infused milled flower, standard and infused pre-roll packs, one-gram live-resin and solventless live-rosin all-in-one vapes, fruit-inspired vapes, 1.2-gram live-resin concentrates, full-spectrum edibles, lemonades and sodas.
Not every format follows the same extraction path. “Solventless live rosin,” “100% live resin,” “artisan cannabis oil” and infused milled flower describe different inputs and processes. The individual product page and package should be checked before treating the catalog as one uniform tier.
Stores and brand assets
Almora products are distributed through licensed California dispensaries, and the official site includes a ZIP-code finder. Mammoth also maintains a public brand-assets library with product photography and packaging collections, providing a first-party source for current media tied to the brand.
2024 California recall
On August 8, 2024, California’s Department of Cannabis Control issued a mandatory recall for one “Almora Naturally Better Single Origin Cannabis Flower” product because of Aspergillus niger contamination. The state notice identifies Fluids Manufacturing, doing business as Mammoth Distribution/Heavy Hitters, as the packager.
That was a product-specific safety action, not evidence that every Almora item is affected. It belongs in the history because a complete profile should include documented safety events as well as launches. Anyone holding older product should compare the UID and batch information against the state recall portal.
The High Rise read
Almora’s advantage is breadth and distribution: a sun-grown brand that reaches flower, extract and beverage shelves without abandoning an accessible position. The caution is that the large catalog spans multiple processes and source formats, so the logo alone does not tell you what you are buying.
Start with the product type, source farm, package date and batch test. For older flower, check the California recall database. Explore more sun-grown brands in the High Rise brand directory. 21+.
Products and consumer context
Brand names can span multiple formats, product generations or licensed partners. Compare the exact item, ingredients or materials, producer, batch or model, and date rather than assuming every product carrying the name is identical.
Awards and recognition
Awards mentioned in this profile are historical snapshots tied to a particular year, category and entry. They do not certify every current product, and the reviewed source list should not be treated as an exhaustive award ledger.
