The company describes its mission as providing accessibility to cannabis products for as many people as possible through price and availability.
Origins and ownership
Buddies launched in Oregon in 2017 and expanded into Washington shortly after. Its California operation runs out of Shasta Lake, a facility that ran as Tetra Labs before relaunching under the Buddies name in 2019; Nevada followed in 2026. Bryan Cochran is president. The brand describes itself as extraction-first, started by the people making the oil rather than by a marketing team.

100% Live Resin starts from fresh-frozen, whole-plant inputs with no distillate, additives or CRC, in 510 carts and all-in-one devices. 100% Cured Resin pulls full-spectrum extract from premium indoor flower into ceramic carts, also without distillate or additives. Premium Cannabis Oil + CDT pairs high-potency cannabis oil with strain-specific terpenes extracted in-house. Premium Sauce Blend combines full-spectrum live resin HTE, cannabis-derived terpenes and premium cannabis oil. Flavor Infused uses premium cannabis oil with natural plant-based terpenes that are not cannabis-derived, across more than twenty flavors.

California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington each regulate production and labeling inside their own borders. Buddies publishes a separate license and catalog route for each state, and a product family shown in one market may have different sizes, flavors or availability elsewhere. The five oil families are not interchangeable. Live resin and cured resin are described as full-spectrum extracts without added distillate, while Premium Cannabis Oil + CDT and Premium Sauce Blend combine refined oil with cannabis-derived components. Flavor Infused products use plant-derived flavor terpenes that are not cannabis-derived. A 510 cartridge needs a compatible battery; an all-in-one includes its battery and oil reservoir.
