Buddies is a West Coast cannabis brand built on a simple promise: what goes into the cartridge is cannabis and nothing else. It launched in 2017 pushing full ingredient transparency, and today runs licensed operations in California, Oregon, Washington and Nevada, with vapes, dabs, topicals and more moving through all four markets.
What Buddies makes
The catalog is organized by how much of the original plant survives into the oil. 100% Live Resin starts from fresh frozen, whole-plant input with no distillate and no cutting agents, then gets liquified so it runs in a universal 510 ceramic cartridge. 100% Cured Resin does the same job with premium indoor flower.
Two more oil lines sit alongside them. Premium Cannabis Oil with cannabis-derived terpenes folds strain-specific terpenes extracted in-house back into high-potency oil, so a cart reflects the flower it came from. The Sauce Blend combines full-spectrum live resin HTE, cannabis-derived terpenes and premium cannabis oil for potency and flavor together.
The Flavor Infused line is the deliberate exception, and Buddies marks it as such on the spec sheet: over twenty flavors, from Grape Ape to Raspberry Parfait, built on premium cannabis oil with plant-based terpenes not sourced from cannabis. Past the vapes there are dabs, softgels, tinctures, topicals and pre-rolls.

Four regulatory regimes at once is the genuinely hard part of West Coast scale, and holding one spec steady across all of them is harder still.

Community and the name
The tagline, Family, Friends, Buddies, is not just decoration. The brand describes itself as a journey of community, connection and cannabis, and names inclusivity among its values. Its stated mission is accessibility, keeping product within reach on both price and availability, and its stated vision is changing the conversation by being transparent about what is actually in the cart.
Awards
The topical shelf collects the most hardware. Fire & Ice took Best Topical at the 2024 High Times Cannabis Cup in California and first place topical at the 2023 Oregon Grower's Cup, and it was still winning topical categories in 2025. The vapes place too, including a third-place High Times Cannabis Cup finish for Mt Hood Magic in Oregon in 2023.
The High Rise take
The 100%-cannabis spec is the entire pitch, and at the counter it is a genuinely useful one. Plenty of carts on the shelf are distillate with terpenes added back in, frequently from sources other than cannabis. Buddies puts that distinction on the box, which makes comparison shopping quick instead of a guessing game.
The thing worth reading closely is which line you are actually holding. Live Resin, Cured Resin, PCO + CDT and the Sauce Blend are all cannabis-terpene products. Flavor Infused is not, by design. Same brand, different builds, and the packaging tells you which is which before you pay.
