Origins and founder story
The official history identifies the founder as Ray. He describes starting in cannabis in 2004 with two lights in a closet, learning through early failed grows and later working at a hydroponics shop. The core team has worked together since 2009. Full Spectrum Group was established in 2019 around cultivation, and Legion of Dank launched in 2021 as the consumer-facing brand.

LOD is presented as the sister company and retail label of Full Spectrum Group rather than an unrelated marketing license. The operating model joins cultivation, processing, distribution and non-storefront retail under the same legal business. The brand’s “we sell what we grow” line reflects that integrated structure, although individual collaborations and future products should still be checked by package.
Flower and pre-rolls
The current product page lists 1-gram and 3.5-gram flower, a 3.5-gram exclusive tier, and 7-, 14- and 28-gram formats. It also lists 0.75-gram pre-rolls and 2.5-gram mini-joint packs. LOD describes these as made from its in-house indoor flower; availability varies by strain and retailer.
Extracts, rosin and vapes
The concentrate shelf includes 1-gram BHO crumble, badder and sugar, fresh press made from six-star hash, and 1-gram rosin. One-gram liquid-diamond AIOs, rosin edibles and hash holes are marked “coming soon,” so they should not be represented as universally available products.
Genetics and strain library
LOD publishes a large genetics library split between exclusive and classic strains. Named exclusives include Apricot Reserve, Blueberry Z, Chicken & Waffles, Crunch Berries, Slushee Beer and Strawberry Lobster. The classic list includes Cherry Bomb, Crystal Kaboom, K-Pop, Mint Chip, Skywalker OG and Super Boof. Lineage information is brand-supplied and may change as the cultivation program evolves.

The official strain page publishes California distribution license C11-0001379-LIC and cultivation license CCL-19-0005380. California’s 2025 recall notice identifies Full Spectrum Group Inc. under C11-0001379-LIC and names manufacturing license DCC-10004694. These records link the public brand to the regulated operator; current license status should still be checked in the state register.
Verified award
In the 2025 California Cannabis Awards, Budist’s judging panel awarded the Citrus Bang Pre-Roll bronze in the non-infused pre-roll category. That is the exact supported honor. LOD’s site displays additional Farmers Cup, Munch N Roll and WeedCon badges, but this research did not verify exact years, categories and placements from those competition organizers, so they are not expanded into unsupported claims.
2025 edible recall
California’s Department of Cannabis Control published a voluntary recall on May 21, 2025 for multiple Legion of Dank Delights edibles. The notice cited packaging and labeling attractive to children and said one Pow Punch Gummies batch overstated cannabinoid content.
