ROVE is the Costa Mesa vape brand Phil Hon, Jo Jacobson and Paul Jacobson started in 2016. It makes Diamond Series pods, Premier Classics vapes, solventless live rosin vapes, batteries and Ice Packs triple-infused pre-rolls, and it lists 16 state markets from California to Rhode Island.
The brand turned ten in 2026, and its merch shop carries a Ten Years Lit collection. Forbes put the founders on its 2026 Cannabis 42.0 list, crediting ROVE with $100 million in annual revenue.
From a vape company desk to Costa Mesa
Hon and Jo Jacobson were working at a vape company when they decided to strike out on their own, Forbes reported. They asked her brother Paul, who worked in finance, to invest. All three are counted as co-founders.
The roles have stayed split. Paul Jacobson is president, and Hon holds the title of vice president. Jo Jacobson, the co-founder Inc. credits with leading ROVE's retail expansion, said the company "was built on hustle, relationships, and an obsession with quality."
The growth shows in the door count. ROVE said it added 400 to 500 retail doors in 2024, a 45% to 50% jump over 2023. It also reported a 97% average re-order rate from 2021 through 2024. Forbes, in a profile updated April 17, 2026, counted 3,000 dispensaries across 16 states.
Diamond Series, Premier Classics and the batteries
Vapes are the core. The product page sorts the line into four families:
- Diamond Series: vaporizer pods built on live resin diamonds, sold as ready-to-use units and reloads.
- Premier Classics: the classic-strain vaporizer line.
- Solventless Live Rosin: the rosin vaporizer format.
- CBD Ratios: CBD-infused vaporizers.
Hardware carries the ROVE name too. The battery lineup runs through the Diamond Series Pro, the Designer and the Slim. The merch shop adds tops and accessories under collections called Get Out and Rove, 3D Chrome, Essentials and Ten Years Lit.
ROVE also puts a QR code on its packages. Inc.'s March 2025 announcement noted the company uses a scanning app so buyers can authenticate a product.
Ice Packs and the infused pre-roll push
Ice Packs are the pre-roll flagship. ROVE builds them from flower infused with THCA diamonds and solventless ice-hash rosin, then coats the outside in ice hash. The pre-roll menu also carries rosin-infused joints and blunts.
On April 17, 2026, ahead of 4/20, ROVE added three strains to the line: Strawberry Cough, Kiwi Kush and Frosted Melon. Packs come as a 1g single, a 1.5g three-pack, a 3g five-pack and a 3.6g six-pack. The release put Ice Packs in 11 of ROVE's 16 states.
The pre-roll bet is paying off in the data. Headset measured ROVE's pre-roll sales up 2.0% year over year in August 2026, while its vapor pen sales fell 11.4%.
Washington, Maryland and the 16-state map
ROVE listed 13 states in March 2025. Washington came next on April 30, 2025, the brand's Pacific Northwest debut, with Diamond Vapes in ready-to-use units and reloads. Zips, Lidz and Herbal Nation were the first retail partners.
Maryland followed on June 24, 2025, through the distributor Evermore. Diamond Series vapes, Classics vapes and Ice Packs landed at The Living Room, Chesacanna, Verano's Zen Leaf, Hi Tides, Rev and Cannabist. The launch strains included Skywalker OG, Watermelon Burst, Granddaddy Purp, Northern Lights and Strawberry Cough.
"We are so grateful for the warm response to Rove on the East Coast," Paul Jacobson said at the Maryland launch. Colorado has since joined the map. The full state list reads Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Rhode Island and Washington.
Stevies, Best in Grass and the Female Founders 500
The trophy case keeps filling. Diamond Vapes won a Bronze Stevie Award for product innovation, and ROVE lists wins at the High Times Cannabis Cup and Best in Grass. The April 2026 release added 2026 Best in Grass, Maryland Leaf Bowl and Las Vegas Cannabis Awards placements.
Cannabis Business Times named ROVE a 2026 Best Cannabis Company to Work For, the second year in a row. Inc. put Jo Jacobson on its 2025 Female Founders 500 list, announced on March 11, 2025.
ROVE said in its Washington release that Headset Insights ranked it the No. 4 U.S. cannabis brand by 4/20 revenue. The same release reported more than $3.3 million in New Jersey retail sales across its first six months there.
Headset's August 2026 read on ROVE
Headset tracked ROVE in 2,075 licensed dispensaries across 17 states in August 2026, 376 of them in California, with 1,964 SKUs. Vapor pens made up 78.8% of sales and pre-rolls 21.0%. Brand sales ran 9% below August 2025, and the average price fell 7.5%.
Nevada is the stronghold, where Headset ranked ROVE No. 1 in both vapor pens and pre-rolls for August 2026. It ranked No. 3 in Ohio vapor pens, No. 5 in Maryland and No. 6 in Massachusetts. Illinois and New Jersey came in at No. 7 and California at No. 9.
The top seller was a 1g Blue Dream Live Resin Liquid Diamond Disposable. Pineapple Express Live Resin Melted Diamonds Reload Pod, Waui Liquid Diamond Live Resin Disposable Pod, Magic Melon Live Resin Liquid Melted Diamond Reload Pod and Apple Jack Live Resin Diamond Cartridge rounded out the top five.
