Watermelon Gelato Rosin

Brand: Punch Extracts

Type: rosin

Watermelon Gelato is Lit Farms' cross of Watermelon Zkittlez and Gelato 45 — candy and fruit from one side, cookie-dough creaminess from the other. It also has a doppelgänger: a different breeder released a cross with the identical parents, which is a subtler collision than usual and worth catching.

The Cross

Lit Farms bred it, crossing Watermelon Zkittlez with Gelato 45, and note heavy resin production for the plant.

The collision worth knowing: Purple City Genetics released a "Gelato x Watermelon Zkittlez" of their own. Same two parents, different breeder, different plant. Crosses made independently from the same parents are not the same cultivar.

How It's Made

Labelled rosin rather than live rosin, so fresh-frozen starting material is not claimed. Texture is determined after the press — glossy fresh press, opaque cold cure, or firmer.

Same Parents, Different Plant

Two breeders crossing the identical parents do not produce the same cultivar. Selection is most of the work: which male, which female, which phenotype was kept, and what was discarded. Lit Farms' Watermelon Gelato and Purple City's version share a recipe and not a result.
