Hall of Flowers

Hall of Flowers is the B2B cannabis trade show that runs city editions on both coasts — New York on October 21–22 and Sacramento on November 4–5 in 2026.

Upcoming Dates

Hall of Flowers is the trade show where cannabis shelf space gets decided. Since 2018 it has put licensed brands, dispensary buyers and media in one curated room, growing from a Santa Rosa fairgrounds show into city editions on both coasts.

A Fairgrounds Show That Set the Bar

The first Hall of Flowers ran in 2018 at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, deep in Northern California cannabis country. The pitch was different from the convention-center circuit: a curated floor built around product discovery and wholesale orders, in a room designed to make licensed brands look the way they deserve to look.

That polish is in the DNA. Co-founders Dani Diamond and Rama Mayo came from outside the cannabis convention business — Diamond spent two decades producing fashion trade shows in New York, and Mayo came up booking music venues. The show they built treats cannabis brands like labels at a fashion market: presentation carries weight, and the people walking the aisles are there to write orders.

Santa Rosa, Then the Map Widens

Santa Rosa stayed the only stop until December 2021, when a Palm Springs edition opened the map. A Toronto run followed, then a spring edition at the Ventura County Fairgrounds in March 2024 — the first cannabis event that seaside venue had ever hosted.

The biggest swing came in October 2025, when Hall of Flowers crossed the country for its first East Coast show at Pier 36, a 100,000-square-foot facility on lower Manhattan's waterfront. Landing in New York as the state's licensed market scaled up gave East Coast brands and buyers the kind of room California had been working for years.

The Santa Rosa Experiment

For its first six years Hall of Flowers was strictly business — licensed brands on one side, retail buyers on the other, orders in the middle. The 2024 Santa Rosa show tried something else: day two opened to the general public, and the trade floor grew a festival around it with live entertainment, food and the Iconoclasts speaker series.

That public day produced a moment no badge-scanner convention ever has — 7,000 people lighting up at once, a world record for the most joints lit at the same time. Trade shows measure themselves in orders written; that one also put a line in the record books.

The 2026 editions are back to industry-only. New York's ticket page restricts admission to cannabis industry professionals with proper credentials on both days, including the Day 2 ticket, which is an industry pass rather than a public one.

Where It Runs Now

The 2026 calendar puts Hall of Flowers New York on October 21 and 22, with Hall of Flowers Sacramento following on November 4 and 5 — the show's move out of Santa Rosa after eight years at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. Applications and tickets run through the official Hall of Flowers site.

Why It Still Matters

Plenty of cannabis trade shows book a hall and call it an industry moment. Hall of Flowers earned its weight by staying curated while it scaled — the floor is built for buyers, and the brands that show up treat it that way.

Eight years after a fairgrounds debut, this is still where a season's shelf decisions get made — and if you sell cannabis in California or New York, the dates go on the calendar first.
