Kettle Silicone Bong

Brand: Ooze

Price: $40

The Kettle by Ooze is a 6.25-inch silicone bubbler that runs dry herb or concentrates out of the box. It ships with both a herb slide and a quartz banger nail, has a removable glass chamber for cleaning, and carries a built-in magnetic strip that holds your dabber. $40.

It is two pieces in one

Most glass at this price does one job. The Kettle includes a herb slide and a quartz banger nail together, which means the same body handles flower and wax depending on which one you seat in the joint.

That is the strongest argument for it. Buying a $40 bubbler and a separate $40 rig is the usual route into both, and this collapses that into one purchase and one thing to clean.

Silicone where it helps, glass where it matters

The body is silicone and the chamber is glass, which is the right way round. Silicone survives being dropped, packed and sat on — the failure mode that ends most glass pieces simply does not apply.

But silicone is a poor surface to watch smoke through and a worse one to keep truly clean, so the chamber stays glass and comes out. You get the durability of one material and the serviceability of the other instead of compromising on a single one.

The two details that show someone used one

The glass chamber is removable, so cleaning is a matter of pulling one part and soaking it rather than working isopropyl through a whole body you cannot see into.

And there is a magnetic strip built into the body to hold the dabber. A dab tool with nowhere to live ends up resin-side-down on a table, and this is the kind of fix that only comes from somebody actually using the thing.

Colourways and alternatives

The Kettle comes in several colourways at one price, and availability moves between them. The colour is applied to the silicone and changes nothing about how it works.

Ooze's Bowser is the larger silicone piece if you want more chamber, and the Glyco is the glass option at $50 with freezable glycerin for cooling. For a concentrate-only silicone piece, DHC's Rigid Rainbow mini rig comes in lower.
