Auxly Cannabis Group is a Toronto consumer packaged goods company that makes Back Forty, Kolab Project, Foray, Dosecann, Parcel and South Point for Canada's provincial markets. It trades on the TSX as XLY and runs a 1.1-million-square-foot greenhouse in Leamington, Ontario. In August 2026 it reported a record second quarter of C$45.8 million in net revenue.

From Cannabis Wheaton to Auxly

The corporate shell is older than legal cannabis. It was incorporated in British Columbia on August 24, 1987, renamed Cannabis Wheaton Income Corp. on May 5, 2017, and became Auxly Cannabis Group on June 8, 2018. It continued into Ontario on May 20, 2021. Hugo Alves is chief executive.

The early footprint reached past Canada. In June 2020, MJBizDaily reported that Auxly was pulling back from Uruguay, where it owned 80% of Montevideo-based Inverell S.A. The savings went home to Canadian projects, including the Sunens Farms joint venture in Leamington and an outdoor grow in Hortonville, Nova Scotia.

Leamington, Charlottetown and the Ottawa exit

Auxly bought out its former joint venture partner on November 22, 2021, taking full control of Auxly Leamington. The site is a 1.1-million-square-foot automated greenhouse with 876,270 square feet of licensed space, and it anchors the company's cultivation.

Auxly Charlottetown, a 52,000-square-foot facility in Prince Edward Island, holds analytical testing, processing and research licenses and handles extraction and product development. An Ottawa facility moved its work to Leamington in May 2023, closed that November and sold in May 2024 for C$1.7 million. Auxly counted about 388 employees at the end of 2024.

Back Forty and the value end of the shelf

Back Forty is the volume engine, built on everyday flower, pre-rolls and vapes. In August 2021 it launched Back Forty 40s, ten 0.35-gram machine-rolled single-strain pre-rolls, starting with Animal Mints and Wedding Pie at the Ontario Cannabis Store. Auxly said at the time that Back Forty was Canada's No. 1 vape brand, with 13% share in the second quarter of 2021.

The company says Back Forty was Canada's No. 1 cannabis brand by dollars sold throughout 2025. Headset data for August 2026 ranked it No. 1 in pre-rolls in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and Saskatchewan, and No. 1 in Saskatchewan flower. Headset tracked more than C$25 million in Back Forty sales that month, up 41% year over year.

Pre-rolls drove 45% of that August total. The top seller was the Liquid Imagination 10-pack, and Headset counted 252 Back Forty SKUs. Auxly also says Liquid Imagination and Fire Breath 28-gram bags were Canada's two best-selling SKUs in 2025.

Kolab Project, Foray, Dosecann, Parcel and South Point

Kolab Project pairs cannabis with cultural experiences and accessories. Its 2022 O'Cannabiz nominations covered live terpene sticks, THCA diamonds and a Cherry Cola Pop milk chocolate square. Foray is the entry-level label, and its Mango Haze all-in-one vape drew a nomination the same year. Parcel is the ultra-value line.

Dosecann is the science-driven line, and its topical cream won best topical at the 2021 Kind Awards, voted by nearly 250 Canadian budtenders for Kind Magazine. Back Forty took two Kind Awards that year, and a Kolab Project 157 Series cart took best sativa cartridge. Auxly itself was named Licensed Producer of the Year at the O'Cannabiz Industry Awards in June 2022.

South Point is the premium tier. It first shipped in November 2025 to Ontario and Alberta with Turbo Diesel flower and pre-rolls grown at Auxly Leamington.

Imperial Brands on the cap table

Imperial Brands invested C$123 million through a convertible debenture on September 25, 2019. On March 28, 2024, Imperial converted that debt to equity, leaving it with about 19.8% of Auxly.

The partnership now points outward. Auxly's August 2026 update said the two companies were weighing export opportunities, and Alves called the approach "purposefully rigorous and measured." Auxly lists alongside other Canadian producers on the Toronto Stock Exchange, where Tilray Brands trades as TLRY.

Record quarters and a 14:1 consolidation in 2026

Auxly closed 2025 with C$151.5 million in net revenue, up 24%, and C$43.8 million in adjusted EBITDA. HiFyre IQ data for October 2025 ranked it Canada's No. 3 licensed producer by market share. It entered Quebec in the second quarter of 2025, where Back Forty became the fourth-largest brand.

The 2026 run kept climbing. First-quarter net revenue hit C$39.8 million, up 22%. Second-quarter revenue reached C$45.8 million, up 18%, with C$14.3 million in adjusted EBITDA and C$7.7 million in net income. A 14:1 share consolidation took effect on July 28, 2026, and Auxly bought back 2.6 million shares in the quarter under its issuer bid.

The 2026 capital plan puts C$10 million to C$12 million into Leamington, part of C$30 million through 2028 aimed at a 30% capacity increase. Products reach every Canadian province plus Yukon and the Northwest Territories.
