Beezle is a concentrate and vape company founded by Dorian Schraner in Cloverdale, California, where its first official release landed in November 2012. It holds licensed facilities in Cloverdale, Tilton, Illinois and Frederick, Maryland, and makes concentrates, vapes, pre-rolls and edibles under the line "Buzzing for Better." For August 2026, Headset ranked Beezle No. 5 in Maryland's concentrate category.
From a Sonoma County farm to a Cloverdale garage
Schraner was born near Zurich and moved with his family to Sonoma County in 1981, where they set up an organic olive farm. He earned a degree in organic agriculture from UC Santa Cruz in 2009 and worked at Santa Cruz Hydroponics until 2011. That year he returned to Cloverdale and started an indoor grow.
A summer 2011 stint behind a Hopland dispensary's dab bar showed him extraction up close. Schraner decided it "doesn't seem that hard" and started Beezle in a garage on the family farm.
A Jesus OG debut and a decade of trophies
The first official drop arrived in November 2012: a Jesus OG bubble hash made with genetics from breeder Subcool. A month later it placed second in solventless at the Emerald Cup. First-place finishes followed at Dab-A-Doo Amsterdam in 2013 for solventless and Dab-A-Doo Denver in 2014 for solvent.
The California run kept stacking. Beezle's awards list includes third in solvent at the 2014 Secret Cup NorCal and High Times edible placements in NorCal and SoCal in 2015. In 2016 it placed second for a vape cartridge at the Emerald Cup and won edibles at Chalice California. In 2017 it won solvent at Chalice California and took first overall at the HitMan Sauce Off.
In 2018, Beezle won first for a sativa concentrate at High Times Central California, placed second in sativa concentrates at High Times SoCal and earned an Excellence in Products award at the Green State Cannabis Awards. At the Emerald Cup it placed second and fourth in distillate cartridges in 2019, first and second in solvent in 2022, and second and third in solvent in 2023.
Closed-loop gear and Colorado lessons
From 2013 on, Schraner made trips to Colorado, bought his first closed-loop extractor, an Emotek Obi-Dos, and trained under its inventor. He also connected with Matt Van Beschoten and Mike Pesce of TC Labs, whom he met at the 2012 Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam and called "the Beezle equivalent in Colorado."
By Beezle's 10th anniversary in 2022, Leaf Magazine counted a 26-person staff in the Cloverdale warehouse processing about 2 tons of material a month, 80% of it fresh frozen and most of it from local legacy farms. The lineup then included live and cured resin, Black Label diamonds and sauce, and strain-specific cartridges made with cannabis-derived ingredients only.
Beezle compares itself to the honeybee, roaming for flower and partnering with trusted local cultivators. In Maryland it points to recyclable packaging, closed-loop extraction and in-house reuse and sterilization of materials.
Three licenses, three catalogs
Beezle publishes a license for each facility: DCC-10002909CA on Commerce Lane in Cloverdale, CG00000067 on Donna Drive in Tilton and PA-23-00002 on Industry Lane in Frederick. Each state gets its own catalog. California lists cured resin, live rosin and live resin in 1-gram jars, plus Buzz vapes. Illinois adds Blossoms flower, classic pre-rolls and NectarZ vapes.

Leaf Bowl wins in Maryland
Maryland became the trophy room after the move east. At the 2024 Maryland Leaf Bowl, Beezle took first place for best rosin, best distillate cartridge, best solventless cartridge and best diamonds/sauce, plus runner-up for best chocolate edible. In 2025 it won best infused pre-rolls and finished runner-up for best flavored/botanical distillate vapes.
The Leafly menu for Beezle Maryland lists live rosin in Gush Mints, The Soap, Trop Cherries, Firecracker and a 2-gram Apple Fritter. Cured resin shatter comes in Cold Snap, Mob Boss, Money Treez and Tie Bae, and Stingers run in names such as Papa Don, Tri State Banana, Garlic Crasher and GMO Burger.
Where Beezle sells in 2026
Headset tracked Beezle products in 128 dispensaries in August 2026, 83 of them in Maryland, with Baltimore, Annapolis, Columbia, Silver Spring and Cockeysville among its top markets. That month it ranked Beezle No. 5 in Maryland concentrates and No. 13 in vapor pens, up from No. 16 in vapes a year earlier.
Vapor pens made up 45% of August 2026 sales and concentrates 33.5%, with edibles at 12.5% and pre-rolls at 8.6%. Headset counted 216 SKUs at an average price of $26.09. The top sellers were Buzz 0.5-gram distillate cartridges in Madd Fruit, Chem Cookies and Sourene. Hoodie Analytics put 96.2% of August 2026 sales in Maryland and 3.8% in Illinois.
