Beezle Brands

Beezle is a multi-state cannabis extraction and products company founded by Dorian Schraner in Sonoma County, California. Its first official release arrived in November 2012, and the brand now runs licensed facilities in California, Maryland and Illinois with state-specific lines spanning concentrates, vapes, pre-rolls, edibles and flower.

Origins and ownership

Schraner grew up on his family's organic farm in Sonoma County after the family emigrated from Switzerland, studied organic agriculture at UC Santa Cruz and worked at Santa Cruz Hydroponics. He encountered dabbing at a Hopland dispensary in 2011 and started his own extraction operation soon after.

The first official drop was a Jesus OG bubble hash made with Subcool genetics in November 2012. It placed second in solventless at the Emerald Cup a month later.

Production

Beezle partners with cultivators for input material rather than presenting every release as in-house flower. That model makes farm credit, cultivar identity and cold-chain handling central to the finished concentrate. The company also processes and manufactures for aligned brands, under the positioning line "Buzzing for Better."

Products

California lists cured resin, live rosin, live resin and Buzz vapes. Illinois adds Blossoms flower, classic pre-rolls, extracts and NectarZ and Buzz vapes. Maryland carries the widest published range: cured resin, FECO applicators, live rosin, live resin, infused and classic Stingers pre-rolls, Beezle Bites, Fruta Bites, Buzz vapes, live-resin FSE cartridges and disposables, NectarZ, and the Honeycomb Collection of infused seasonings.

Recognition

Beezle publishes an itemized competition record that begins with second place in solventless at the 2012 Emerald Cup. It runs through Dab-A-Doo Amsterdam in 2013 and Dab-A-Doo Denver in 2014, the Secret Cup NorCal in 2014, High Times events in NorCal and SoCal in 2015, the Emerald Cup and Chalice California in 2016, Chalice California and the HitMan Sauce Off in 2017, High Times SoCal and Central California and the Green State Cannabis Awards in 2018, the Emerald Cup in 2019, first place in a solvent category at the 2022 Emerald Cup and a further Emerald Cup placement in 2023. At the 2024 Maryland Leaf Bowl it took four category wins — rosin, distillate cartridge, solventless cartridge and diamonds/sauce — plus a runner-up, and in 2025 it took first place in infused pre-rolls there.

The company lists a first-place finish for infused pre-rolls and a runner-up finish for flavored or botanical distillate vapes at the 2025 Maryland Leaf Bowl. Those placements follow four first-place finishes and one runner-up at the 2024 Maryland event. Each award belongs to the entered product and category rather than the entire multi-state catalog.

Facilities and licensing

Beezle publishes facilities and licenses in Cloverdale, California (DCC-10002909CA), Tilton, Illinois (CG00000067) and Frederick, Maryland (PA-23-00002). Products are sold through licensed retailers rather than company-owned dispensaries.

A Beezle product in Maryland is not simply a California item moved across state lines. Each state uses its own licensed facility, local input material and regulated distribution system. Product names and formats can overlap, but the legal producer and batch are state-specific. That is why Beezle maintains separate California, Illinois and Maryland catalogs.

Where it operates

Beezle sells through licensed retailers, not a company-owned dispensary chain. Concentrate textures, vape hardware, edible formulas and pre-roll options can rotate with each market's production schedule. Shoppers should start with the state catalog, confirm current inventory with the retailer and then read the package for the facility, cultivar, ingredients, cannabinoids, batch and warnings.
