Its current corporate page says it has narrowed its operational focus to California, Missouri and Massachusetts after raising approximately $100 million since inception. That funding total is a company statement, not an audited figure presented here.
In Missouri, Calyx Peak highlights an 82,500-square-foot Smithville facility producing flower, pre-rolls and concentrates. Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission records also document licensed Calyx Peak entities. Because cannabis products cannot move freely across state lines, each market uses local licenses, cultivation and manufacturing.
Brands and products
The current portfolio names Local, Smackers and Pinchy’s. Earlier operations also included Josh D and Song in selected markets. Calyx Peak’s own site presently supports the broad categories flower, pre-rolls and concentrates but does not publish enough stable detail to assign a specific positioning, formulation or ingredient list to every sub-brand. Calyx Peak says its companies earned Emerald Cup recognition each year from 2019 through 2022. The best-documented starting point is the 2019 event: Josh D Farms and Local Cannabis Company placed Ice Cream Cake first in the unlicensed mixed-light flower category, with additional Josh D entries in the top ten. In 2022 Local Cannabis Company’s Sherb-head won the inaugural sungrown-greenhouse category.
Those results belong to the named brand, cultivar and category—not automatically to every Calyx Peak product. The company’s broad four-year “Emerald Cup-winning” statement is preserved as an attributed portfolio claim, while only independently itemized examples are treated as specific wins.
Leadership and current ownership context
Current Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board minutes identify Howard Keum as Calyx Peak’s CEO and founder, confirming his continuing leadership role in 2025. Earlier coverage named retail executive Edward Schmults as CEO in 2019, illustrating that operating leadership changed over time. Calyx Peak is an operator and parent portfolio, not always the consumer-facing name on a dispensary shelf. Availability should be checked under Local, Smackers, Pinchy’s or another market-specific brand, then matched to a licensed retailer. A corporate mailing address in Las Vegas does not prove that a product was made in Nevada.
