Ice Cream Cake is an indica-dominant hybrid bred by Seed Junky Genetics, a California-based breeder. It crosses Wedding Cake with Gelato #33, pairing a Kush-and-Mints line with a Cookies-family Gelato cut.
Seed Junky never released Ice Cream Cake as feminized seed, and the original breeder's cut is #63. The cut went on to win at the 2019 Emerald Cup, the same year its Wedding Cake parent took Leafly's top honor.
Wedding Cake and Gelato #33 as parents
Wedding Cake supplies the first half. It is a cross of Triangle Kush and Animal Mints, also sold as Triangle Mints #23 and, in Canada, as Pink Cookies. Leafly named Wedding Cake its Strain of the Year in 2019.
Gelato #33, also called Larry Bird, brings the second half. It comes from Sunset Sherbet crossed with Thin Mint GSC. Gelato #33 grows compact buds true to its Cookie roots, with fiery orange hairs and color that runs from dark green to purple.

Most growers flower Ice Cream Cake for 8–9 weeks, and some take it to 10. One clone seller says day 60 brings the brightest cream and citrus, while days 65–70 push deeper color. Plants stay compact in veg, branch hard from the lower nodes and stretch about 1.5–1.8x early in flower.
The plant looks indica through and through: bushy growth with broad, dark green leaves. Buds finish weighty and elongated, light green to purple under a heavy coat of trichomes that turns super frosty after drying.
