Cultivation and post-harvest process
CBX describes natural and sustainable techniques and markets its flower as PGR-free. The company hang-dries flower in darkness, hand-trims it using a stem-rotation method, hand-sorts jar flower and uses smaller buds for its all-flower pre-rolls. It also says flower is vacuum sealed after testing and before packaging.
Those are first-party process statements, not independent guarantees. “PGR-free” is a broad marketing phrase unless paired with a defined standard and batch testing; regulators and laboratories test for specific prohibited substances, not a single universal “PGR” category.
Products and single-source model
The current product families are premium flower, premium-flower pre-rolls, live-resin sauce cartridges, live-resin concentrates and solventless concentrates. CBX says it controls breeding, cultivation, manufacturing and distribution and sells single-source products. That claim describes the current model; collaborations in the historical award archive should still credit every named partner.
California and Nevada footprint
CBX identifies California and Nevada as its markets and publishes six California license numbers covering cultivation, manufacturing and distribution. The site links to a retailer locator rather than a company-owned store chain. Availability, package design and locally produced batches can differ by state because cannabis cannot be shipped interstate through ordinary commerce.
Awards and the pre-2014 record
The official “Hall of Flame” lists a long competition history. Key post-founding results include first place for Master Kush in indica flower and Strawberry Lemonade in sativa flower at the 2016 Los Angeles High Times Cannabis Cup; first place for Kush Mountains hybrid flower at the 2017 High Times World Cup; and a 2018 High Times Top Ten Strain of the Year recognition for Kush Mountains.
The archive also lists 2013 awards for Super Silver Haze and White Walker OG, plus other results that predate the 2014 company launch. Those should be understood as founder, cultivar or precursor-team history—not as proof that the incorporated CBX brand existed in 2013. Collaboration awards with Loudpack are likewise joint results.
Environmental claims and limits
CBX says its facilities shift heavy electrical loads to off-peak hours and recover condensate from dehumidifiers and air conditioning, producing up to 9,500 gallons of filtered water per day. These are company-reported operating figures. They provide useful context but are not a third-party sustainability certification.
