Dr. Norm's

Dr. Norm's is a Los Angeles cannabis edibles brand built on baked goods - cookies, brownies, crispy rice bars, gummies and tablets, sold in hundreds of dispensaries and delivery services across California. Brother-and-sister founders Jeff Koz and Roberta Wilson launched it in 2017, and the catalog now runs past twenty products across low-dose, high-dose and fast-acting lines.

The name is family history, not a credential the products carry. Norman Koz, the founders' father, practiced medicine in Los Angeles for over thirty years. Their mother, Audrey, was a pharmacist by trade and a relentless home baker whose chocolate chip cookies were the thing almost everyone who met her remembered her by.

Roberta had already turned that recipe into a business once. Audrey's Cookies began as a website-only operation and ended up on shelves at Whole Foods, Sprouts, Costco and Gelson's. With California moving to legalize adult-use cannabis, she floated the idea of weed cookies as a joke. Jeff took it seriously, and the two of them shut down what they were doing to go all in.

The cookies are still the center of it. The Originals are 10mg singles - chocolate chip, red velvet, snickerdoodle, pecan shortbread, peanut butter chocolate chip and a 1:1 - in indica, sativa and hybrid-dominant versions, with vegan and gluten-free options. The MAX cookies pack 100mg into one mini cookie, the ceiling California law allows.

From there it widened out. The brownies include a peanut butter cup version made with solventless hash. The crispy rice bars, now the brand's biggest-selling line, come in matcha, toasted cinnamon and very berry, scored with a cutting grid so a bar breaks cleanly into 10mg pieces. The matcha bar is made with ceremonial grade matcha and runs a 2:1 THC to THCV ratio.

Gummies range from a 1:1 THC and CBG pineapple peach to a single-bite 100mg Mango Madness MAX. The MAX products lean on 100% solventless hash rather than distillate, which is the detail worth knowing if you care what your edible is actually infused with.

The fast-acting nano line is the other technical bet. These are nano-emulsified cookies and crispy rice bars, including a Cookies and Creme MAX cookie, that Dr. Norm's puts at an onset of as little as 15 minutes instead of the usual long wait. The cinnamon and berry crunch bars in that line carry the same 10mg cutting grid.

Two lines sit outside the bakery. SleepWell is built around blends of THC, CBN, CBD and CBG, sold as tablets, elderberry and raspberry gummies, brownie bites and a vape. FeelWell runs a six-cannabinoid formula - THC, THC-V, THC-A, CBD, CBD-A and CBG - across tablets, gummies and a disposable vape.

Precise dosing is the pitch the brand trademarked: Know Your Dose. The numbers get printed rather than implied - 50mg per tablet in a twenty-count THC MAX tin for 1,000mg total, 600mg across a SleepWell tablet pack, and 1,050mg in the FeelWell set.

For an edibles shopper the appeal is range under one roof. A 10mg cookie for a light night and a 100mg solventless MAX for a hardened tolerance come out of the same kitchen, and the brand keeps a store finder plus direct ordering in Southern California for anyone who wants to skip the hunt.
