G Pen is the vaporizer brand created by Grenco Science. Since 2012 it has grown from a single portable concentrate pen into a device family covering dry herb, concentrates and 510 cartridges, sold direct, through authorized retailers and in roughly 60 countries. G Pen does not cultivate or sell cannabis; it builds reusable hardware.
Founder and origin
Chris Folkerts founded Grenco Science in 2012 after seeing an early cannabis adaptation of e-cigarette technology at the former LA Confidential dispensary and concluding the category needed reliable products at scale. The first device was planned as the G-O, but its packaging carried only Grenco's "G." Customers called it the G Pen, and the informal name stuck to the whole family.
Folkerts has said roughly one in five of the first 15,000 units failed immediately, and others had charging or atomizer faults. The company sold the run anyway, which he has treated as the clearest early evidence of demand for the category.
Products
The current catalog spans the Dash II and Dash+ dry-herb vaporizers; the Micro+ concentrate pen; the Connect and Roam concentrate systems; the Melt heated loading tool; and the 510 Original and Hydout batteries. Replacement glass, tanks, coils, mouthpieces, grinders and other accessories vary by model.
Collaborations
G Pen's first major collaboration was with Snoop Dogg. Later editions have included Cookies, which has its own Connect and Micro+ versions, alongside other partner releases. A collaboration finish changes the casework, not the device specifications or the warranty.
Ownership and sister brands
Grenco Science filed the G PEN word mark in June 2012 and registered it in August 2013 as No. Grenco also acquired Stundenglass, the gravity-powered contactless water pipe company, in 2020. G Pen remains the vaporizer line, and Stundenglass is a separate hardware brand.
Warranty and counterfeits
Warranty length varies by model. The main policy lists one year for Elite, Pro, Connect and Roam and two years for Dash, Micro+, Hyer, Dash+ and Elite II, while individual launch pages can carry their own registration terms. Proof of purchase and product registration are required, and mouthpieces, airflow strips, tanks, coils, physical damage, water damage, normal wear and counterfeits are excluded. Buyers should use the policy for the exact device rather than apply one model's term to the entire catalog.
The 2026 Dash II is a dry-herb-only conduction vaporizer with a 0.4-gram ceramic chamber, adjustable temperature, OLED display, 1,100 mAh battery and USB-C charging. Those specifications do not apply to the Micro+, Connect, Roam or Hyer concentrate devices. Choosing among them begins with material type, then chamber or attachment design, temperature controls, portability, cleaning and compatible replacement parts.
The 510 Original
The 510 Original is a compact battery for compatible cartridges, not a filled cannabis product. It uses draw activation, three voltage settings, a low-voltage preheat, a display and a 400 mAh battery with USB-C pass-through charging. A cartridge and charging cable are not included. Cartridge dimensions, oil viscosity and voltage needs can differ, so compatibility should be checked before use.
Buying and support
G Pen sells hardware direct and through authorized retailers. The product and its purchase source affect warranty eligibility, and third-party marketplace listings can carry counterfeit risk. Consumers can compare the serial or packaging details, retain the receipt, register covered devices and use the support address for diagnosis before sending anything back. Cannabis laws still govern whatever material is placed in the hardware.
