Green Dot Labs is a Boulder, Colorado cannabis company that breeds its own genetics, grows its own flower and extracts its own live resin and live rosin. Husband-and-wife founders Dave and Alana Malone started it in 2014, and it is still family-owned, with Alana as chief executive and Dave as chief creative officer.
The 2026 calendar stayed full. Green Dot collected first-place and best-of honors at Best in Grass Arizona, Rooster's THC Classic and Westword's Best of Denver in March 2026, released new GDL Originals in April and May, and dropped Boioioioioing!!! across Arizona and Colorado on August 22, 2026.
Extracts first, then the grow
Green Dot says it was the first regulated business in Colorado to focus exclusively on cannabis extracts. Today it breeds, grows and extracts in-house, so the same team picks the genetics, raises the plants and runs the resin.
The company cites BDSA data naming it Colorado's longest-running, top-selling premium cannabis brand for 2023 and 2024.
A library of 680-plus strains
The genetics page counts more than 680 exclusive strains, including more than 250 proprietary cultivars developed entirely in-house. A June 2025 rebrand replaced the old Black, Blue and Silver Label tiers with four genetic categories:
- Heirloom: heritage cultivars restored through tissue culture.
- R&D: experimental single-run strains, sold only as live resin.
- Selections: handpicked phenotype hunts.
- GDL Originals: the company's signature strains.
The same refresh brought a modernized logo, packaging built on original artwork, an all-in-one vape system with batteries, and branded apparel. It rolled out in phases starting June 21, 2025, and the homepage frames it as "10 Years of Leadership. One Bold Evolution."
GDL Originals, one drop at a time
New Originals arrive as dated drops. Safety Meeting, a Reba Jam x Soul Cleanser cross, became Arizona's first new GDL Original in December 2025. Final Boss, a Cherry Pot Pie x F.A.F.O. cross, landed in the January 3, 2026 flower release with A5 Wagyu and Kashmir.
N2O Diesel, from Headbanger x Candy Cake V2, dropped in Colorado on April 11, 2026 and in Arizona a week later. Cherry Lime Soda, a Citradelic Sunset x Cherry Fluff cross, followed on May 23 in Colorado and May 30 in Arizona. Boioioioioing!!! hit select retailers in both states on August 22, 2026.
Live resin, live rosin and Powered by GDL
Flower comes in jars from 3.5g to 14g and as 1g whole-nug flower rolls. The Live Resin line covers 1g cartridges, an all-in-one, badder and half-gram infused rolls in five-packs. The Live Rosin line covers the inhale-activated half-gram Live Rosin System, badder and rolls.
Green Dot says both house lines hold nothing but pure live resin or pure live rosin, with zero additives or fillers. Powered by GDL is the separate track, applying Green Dot extraction to partner-grown cannabis. Its Live Resin+ pairs live resin with distillate and no cutting agents or artificial terpenes.

Arizona, from Tempe to the launch shelves
Green Dot's expansion beyond Colorado runs through a 55,000-square-foot vertically integrated facility in Tempe. A sneak peek sold through 10 Phoenix dispensaries before the full Arizona launch on September 6, 2025.
The launch lineup covered 3.5g flower, 1g flower rolls, half-gram Live Rosin Systems, 1g live resin carts and live resin roll five-packs. Strains included Belgium Blü, Bicycle Day, Otoro, Paloma, Thunderdome, A5 Wagyu, Dalí and the Alïen Frōōt series in Blü, Pïnk and Rėd.
Named launch retailers included Trulieve, Sol Flower, Story Cannabis, Health For Life, Zen Leaf, Sticky Saguaro, Deeply Rooted, Giving Tree and Sunday Goods.
Best of Denver, Best in Grass and the Emjays
The trophy case filled fast in 2026. At Best in Grass Arizona, Green Dot took first place in solventless concentrates and non-infused pre-rolls and second in rosin vapes. Rooster's 2026 THC Classic gave it first place in new product, live resin vape and rosin vape.
Westword's Best of Denver 2026 named it Best Flower Brand, Best Brand for Terpenes, Best Pre-Roll and Best Infused Pre-Roll. Earlier honors include the Emjays' Flower Brand of the Year in December 2025, Westword's 2025 Best Collaboration with Red Roots Rolling Co. and Leafly's 2024 Budtenders' Choice for Best Flower Brand in Colorado.
Heady glass, merch and the 2026 store map
The brand leans into heady culture. In May 2026 it announced a one-of-one borosilicate dry pipe by glass artist Joe P, inspired by its Alïen Frōōt series and valued at $1,500, as a giveaway that closed July 31, 2026. Marijuana Venture named Alana Malone one of its Women to Watch in October 2025.
Green Dot sells cannabis only through licensed medical and adult-use dispensaries in Colorado and Arizona, and it does not ship cannabis. Its store finder lists shops from Denver, Boulder, Aurora, Fort Collins and Aspen to Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler and Gilbert, with dispensary drops logged for September 14 and 15, 2026. Apparel ships through The Drop Supply.
