Prop 215 roots and a 2012 launch
Heady Heads traces its story to the Prop 215 era. The company dates its roots to 2005 and its official launch to 2012, and it still describes itself as independently owned.
Indoor flower from genetics it hunted itself
Everything starts in-house. Heady Heads grows indoors in California from proprietary genetics, pheno-hunted strains it says it developed itself, and it states that no cultivation is outsourced. Harvests are slow-cured before they are packed under the brand's own label.
Flower ships as strain-specific 3.5-gram eighths in resealable holographic pouches, sorted into indica, sativa and hybrid. The lineup rotates with each grow cycle instead of locking into a fixed menu. Baby Pre-Rolls, Dogwalkers and the Hash Hole
Pre-rolls carry most of the catalog. Baby Pre-Rolls are half-gram minis sold in 7-packs, 3.5 grams in total, and 14-packs, 7 grams in total. Each one blends strain-specific indoor flower with the brand's proprietary dry-sifted kief and finishes with a wooden tip and a built-in screen.
Singles come in two sizes: the one-gram joint and the half-gram Dogwalker. The Hash Hole is the big one. It packs 3.0 grams of flower around a 0.5-gram core of solventless rosin for 3.5 grams in total, with a wooden tip and screen, and it sells only as a single.
Dispensary menus show the formats on shelves. Buzz Cannabis in Wildomar listed a 3.5-gram Hash Hole in Warheadz x Melonpaya. CDC Collective 420 carried Baby Pre-Roll 14-packs in Apple Fritter, and Happiness Delivers listed a 7-gram, 14-count hash-infused pack in Kali 47 and Pineapple Haze.
The handrolls Leafly clocked in 2023
Oversized joints are part of the brand's track record. Leafly's July 2023 roundup of luxury California joints featured the Heady Heads Zkittlez 3.5-gram Handroll three-pack: three all-flower joints, 10.5 grams in total, rolled in king-size Elements papers and finished with wooden tips.
Leafly priced the pack at $105 after discounts and tax. It reported that the first batch of about 1,300 rolls went to three shops, Greenwolf, Cookies Maywood and Packs SGV, with later batches planned at 200 to 300 rolls. The same piece summed up the plan as all-flower handrolls, hash holes and packs of dogwalkers at a fairly affordable price point.
Limited runs with Cookies Maywood and Nameless Genetics
Collabs arrive as limited runs. The Heady Heads x Cookies Maywood Baby Pre-Rolls 14-Pack wraps the kief-blended minis in custom Cookies Maywood holographic foil and a co-branded display case with a foam tray insert. Cookies Maywood, the Cookies storefront at 5815 Maywood Avenue in Maywood, keeps a Heady Heads brand page on its online menu.
The Nameless Genetics collab puts that breeder's flagship cuts into the same 14-pack of half-gram minis. It ships in a black holographic foil pouch with a "No Name Just Flame" interior box, and restocks land only when fresh cuts come through. Heady Heads credits Nameless with some of the most talked-about cuts in California.
Numbered merch on a separate storefront
Merch sits apart from the cannabis. In September 2026 the merch page listed heavyweight cotton tees, fleece hoodies, embroidered caps, watch-cap beanies, lighters, ashtrays, dugouts, rolling trays and totes. Numbered limited runs tie into product launches and events. The goods ship through a dedicated Shopify storefront, which that month still sat behind a drop-alert signup.
More than 125 dispensaries through Nabis in 2026
Distribution runs through Nabis, which lists Heady Heads among its California brand partners. The brand's site counts more than 125 licensed California dispensaries and points buyers to a city and ZIP code locator. That locator refreshes daily from 90 days of store inventory.
Southern California menus show the reach. Packs OC in Santa Ana listed a 7-gram AR-15 pre-roll pack, and King's Crew carried a 14-count Bluphoria dry-sift infused pack. Weedmaps listings for the brand run through Formula 1, Gary Payton, Bodega, Super Boof, Blue Nerdz and Sacred G, and a Happiness Delivers customer review of the hash-infused pack is dated February 8, 2026.
