Henry's Original is a farmer-owned, sun-grown flower and pre-roll brand from Mendocino County, run by legacy growers who still work their gardens around Laytonville. Jamie Warm and Joshua Keats founded it, and the company farms in living soil across several county microclimates.
The farm keeps posting. Its Farm Notes journal ran four dated entries between February and June 2026, and the company's California distributor license stood active in September 2026, with an expiration date of July 22, 2027.
Named for the growers who came first
Henry isn't a person on the org chart. The company says the name stands for the original cannabis pioneers who took its founders under their wing and taught them what they know. Klover's February 2020 vendor profile named Warm and Keats as co-founders, both California natives, and tied the brand to the Emerald Triangle farmers of the 1960s and 1970s.
Keats came up the classic way. In a March 12, 2024 interview with Sespe Creek Collective, the Ojai dispensary, he described a decade spent growing mostly Blue Dream, Sour Diesel and OG Kush, followed by a second decade of fast market change. The interview identified him as CEO, founder and cultivator.
Laytonville, Spy Rock Road and the Ukiah Valley
The home ground is Spyrock, the hillside community along Spy Rock Road in the Laytonville hills, near the Humboldt County line. An April 18, 2025 Farm Notes post traced its mix of back-to-the-landers, green-rushers, ranchers and seasonal crews. The team left Spyrock for the Ukiah Valley, came back a decade later and, in its words, continues to farm its Laytonville gardens.
That post carried a drop. Henry's limited-edition 4/20 1g pre-rolls referenced the Spy Rock petroglyphs, which the company dates to 100 BC and credits to the Cahto people. Across its gardens, the farm grows in native and locally derived mediums, with each site sitting in its own Mendocino microclimate.
Sheep, steers and old-vine grapes
Livestock does real work here. A February 12, 2026 Farm Notes entry laid out the rotation. Steers graze the broader grasslands at the Eagle Point farms, a property of more than 1,000 acres, while Jacob's and Churro sheep handle targeted grazing around the gardens at the home ranch. The animals work cover crops into the soil before spring planting.
Soil testing follows the grazing, and the gardens are prepped for June planting. Cover crops and companion plantings include mustard, borage and nitrogen-fixing peas. The operation also farms the Sterling Vineyard at the foot of Eagle Point, where it grows old-vine Chenin Blanc, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Clean Green since 2016
Henry's has been enrolled in Clean Green Certified since 2016. Clean Green's own listing for the farm describes sun-grown cannabis raised with organic methods in Mendocino County, under a standard modeled on national and international organic, sustainable and regenerative agriculture rules. The flower also carries ECCO certification, which the brand says involves monthly testing for more than 138 pesticides.
Jars, pouches and cork-topped tubes
The lineup stays close to the plant. Every format starts with whole flower from the Mendocino gardens.
- Craft eighths in induction-sealed glass jars with compostable tops.
- Pouch flower in 7g, 14g and 28g regular buds, plus 3.5g, 7g, 14g and 28g small buds.
- Craft pre-rolls in 1g singles and 14-packs, plus half-gram 4-, 14- and 28-packs, in cork-topped glass tubes.
- Infused pre-rolls with four half-gram joints of Clean Green Certified flower, diamond concentrate and a hash coating.
Weedmaps listed 20 Henry's products in September 2026. Big-bud eighths included Cold Heat, King Louis XIII, Purple Tangie, Cherry Garcia, Pink Certz, Lavender Haze, Pink Octane and Green Crack, plus the CBD-rich Ritual at a 10:1 CBD to THC ratio. Pre-rolls covered Black Afghani, Blue Dream, Headband, Jamaican Pearl, Maui Wowie, OG Kush, Pre-98 Bubba Kush, Oakland Piff, Tangerine Dream, Blue Runtz and Blueberry.
Coast, a 2:1 CBD-rich pre-roll, returned alongside Ritual in April 2025. Older menus show how the roster rotates. A 2019 Have A Heart spotlight featured Blueberry Cookies, Sweet Amnesia Haze, Jillybean and Acapulco Gold, and Klover's 2020 profile pointed to Platinum OG and Spyrock OG.
Who holds the Henry's license
Heritage Holding of California is the company behind the brand, and its copyright runs across the Henry's site. California distributor license C11-0000891-LIC, issued July 23, 2019, lists Heritage Holding with the trade names Henry's Original and Artifact. It names Joshua Keats, Michael Clifton and Mina Mishrikey as owners. The license was active on September 16, 2026.
Outside money came in early. PitchBook records a Series A in August 2018 and an $11 million Series B on August 5, 2019, with investors including Merida Capital Holdings, JW Asset Management, Delta Emerald Ventures and Presidio View Capital. Retailers buy wholesale through the Nabis platform, and the website runs a rotating farm store of vintage and current goods.
Pride packs, Grass Lands and the 2026 season
Henry's shows up beyond the menu. The brand set up at Grass Lands, the cannabis area at Outside Lands in San Francisco, in 2025. Pride Party Packs arrived in June 2025 and returned on June 23, 2026, when the company announced a Pride 2026 partnership with Sweetleaf Collective.
Meghann Sommer writes the 2026 Farm Notes. They covered the grazing rotation in February, spring flowers in March and, on April 16, a 4/20 edition called "'Til the Wheels Come Off," a love letter to the farm truck, Old Gold. In September 2026, Weedmaps powered the brand's store locator and listed more than 20 California dispensaries carrying Henry's flower and pre-rolls.
