Kushy Punch is a cannabis edibles and vape brand founded in Southern California in 2014 by Ruben Cross. It is best known for a compact full-spectrum gummy that aimed to offer clearly divided servings in a lower-sugar format. The current range includes original gummies, fast-acting individual pieces, live resin and live rosin gummies, sugar-free options, cartridges and all-in-one vapes. Licensed operators manufacture products inside each state market, so ingredients and strengths vary.

Origins and ownership

Cross moved from cultivation toward branded products as California’s market became more standardized. The company’s history describes frustration with inconsistent serving information and large conventional edibles. The original Kushy Punch formula used full-spectrum cannabis oil in a small gummy divided into labeled servings. The current company website still identifies Cross as founder and chief executive, while Exclusive Brands separately announced acquiring brand ownership effective March 1, 2022. Those statements describe different corporate roles and periods.

The original format remains a full-spectrum gummy offered in a multi-serving package. Newer fast-acting products use ten individual gummy pieces with a package total that can reach 100 milligrams of THC where local rules allow. “Fast acting” does not mean immediate or identical timing for every person. Consumers should check the milligrams per piece, package total, ingredients and instructions and should wait before taking more, especially when trying a formulation for the first time.

In 2019, California regulators found an unlicensed Canoga Park facility tied to Vertical Bliss, then a licensed Kushy Punch manufacturer, and revoked that company’s manufacturing and distribution licenses. Later ownership and licensed production continued under different arrangements. The incident belongs in the brand’s history without implying that every current state operator shares the former license. Today’s package, local regulator and retailer license are the relevant checks for the item being sold.

Products

Kushy Punch also groups products by concentrate input and dietary format. Live resin gummies use solvent-extracted material from fresh-frozen cannabis, while live rosin uses a solventless mechanical process. Sugar-free products have their own sweetener and ingredient considerations. None of these labels establishes suitability for a particular diet without the full ingredient panel. The state and licensed manufacturer can also change the recipe connected with a familiar flavor or package style.

Production

The vape line includes cartridges and all-in-one devices in fruit and cultivar-inspired flavors. Arizona laboratory listings identify distilled cannabis oil, natural terpenes, extraction method, operator and certificates for specific 2025 and 2026 batches. The same listings show current gummy batches and ingredients. A certificate should be matched to the batch number, not simply to the flavor. Damaged, leaking or unusually hot hardware should not be used or modified.

Recognition

Kushy Punch CBD placed third for Best CBD Edible at the 2016 U.S. Cannabis Cup and Carnival. That award applies to the submitted product from that period. Current buyers should use licensed retailers, read the local label and keep gummies away from children and pets. Edibles can have delayed and long-lasting effects, while inhaled products act differently. Adults should begin cautiously, avoid driving while impaired and use the batch-specific support channel when a product concern arises.
