Receivership and the 2026 MM Brands reset
BellRock entered receivership in March 2024. In January 2026, KEY Investment Partners announced that it had purchased the portfolio's brand assets out of receivership and formed MM Brands, naming former Curaleaf chief executive Joe Bayern as incoming CEO. MM Brands said the portfolio was then available in 11 markets, including California, Michigan, Missouri and Maryland.
