Nomad Extracts is a Denver concentrate maker that works under the tagline "Separations, Crystallizations & Isolations" and has stacked more than 20 competition awards since 2018. The lineup covers cured and live resin in a spread of textures, a Platinum live resin line, mini joints, vapes and refined oil in glass dispensers. For August 2026, Headset ranked Nomad No. 2 in Colorado's concentrate category.
Separations, crystallizations and isolations
Nomad's pitch is extraction first. The company describes itself as born in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and works across cured and live resin, solventless extraction and cannabis refinement through molecular distillation, for both adult-use and medical buyers. The compass runs through the branding, from a "Follow the Compass" newsletter to Compass tees in the merch shop.
Concentrates are the business. They made up about 95 percent of Nomad's August 2026 sales, with vapor pens under 4 percent, and Headset counted 309 Nomad SKUs on the market that month at an average price of $18.72.
Cured resin, live resin and the Platinum line
Nomad makes both cured resin and live resin, each in several consistencies. Menus carry its badder, sugar, wax, shatter, sauce and live resin in 1-gram, 2-gram and 4-gram sizes, and Rocky Road stores in Aurora, Thornton and Avon stock 4-gram wax jars like Frost Nova. Recent drops have included Alien Chemtrails badder, Colorado Cream Soda badder, Apres Ski OG and Blue Chem sugar, Cherry Pop Tart shatter and MAC & Cheese sugar, along with named lines like Nomad Delight, which put Lemonhead Delight into a 2-gram live resin badder, and Nomad Experience, which runs Jealousy badder in 4-gram jars.
The Platinum live resin starts with fresh-frozen Colorado flower and adds a purification step that strips out more lipids, minerals and pigments than a standard live resin run. The catalog has also included strain-specific pulls such as GMO live resin. In August 2026 the best sellers leaned on sugar wax, with Dante's Inferno, Apricot Haze and Mango Mentality near the top and Kevin Garnett wax climbing.
Mini joints, vapes and dispenser oil
Outside the jar, Nomad sells vape products under the line "Always potent. Never cut." and its own 510-thread battery: a 380mAh matte black stick with variable voltage, a preheat setting, a magnetic USB charger and Nomad etched on the side. It also puts out 0.5-gram mini joints in 15-packs, in strains like Acai Gelly and Lemon Cherry Gelato.
Refined cannabis oil comes in borosilicate glass dispensers, made for topping bowls, dressing joints or filling your own cartridges. The format has its own hardware: a 1:1 dispenser placed in the distillate category at the 2019 Rooster THC Classic.
The 2018 breakout
Nomad arrived loud. At the 2018 Rooster THC Classic, its Banana Kush took first place and Overall Grand Champion. White Widow and OGKB Stardawg went one-two in sauce, Mystery Bordello won the CBD concentrate category and Durban Poison placed third in wax.
The run kept going that spring. A Dreamsicle vape won the flavored vape category at the 2018 Rooster 710 Showdown, and in May 2018 Nomad was crowned winner of the Sacred Seed Terp Trials Vol. IV for its Fat Albert sauce.
Six more years of trophies
The 2019 season brought another stack. At the Rooster THC Classic, Mandarin Cookies took second in shatter and Mac Dough, made for DENREC, placed third in wax. At the Rooster 710 Showdown, Item 9 shatter made for Options Dispensary finished second and Dreamsicle took third in distillate. That July, a Mimosa full spectrum extract won first at the annual Dude Grows competition.
Jack Flash shatter swept People's Choice and Connoisseur's Choice at the 2020 Hemp Connoisseur Championship. Back at the Rooster THC Classic, Banana Punch Sugar won wax in 2023, and Le' Moon Cake cured sugar wax took first again in 2024.
Dispensary runs and the wholesale floor
A lot of that hardware came from runs made with Colorado retailers. A Cap Hill Kush shatter made for Options Dispensary won shatter at the 2020 Rooster THC Classic, and a Golden Goat Platinum fresh-frozen extract, also for Options, took first in flash frozen in 2021.
Nomad also works the wholesale side in person. In March 2019 the team set up at the first LeafLink LIVE event, where dispensary buyers sampled products and placed orders on the spot.
Where Nomad stands in Colorado in 2026
Colorado is still home turf. Headset tracked Nomad products in 130 dispensaries in August 2026, and 103 of them were in Colorado, where its competition includes fellow Colorado live resin maker Green Dot Labs.
The numbers point up. Nomad held No. 2 in Colorado concentrates in both May and August 2026, up from No. 3 a year earlier, with sales up 27.4 percent year over year and average prices up 10.3 percent.
