The Flowery is a vertically integrated Florida medical cannabis company. It cultivates indoors in Homestead, manufactures flower, concentrates and edibles, runs its own dispensaries and delivers to every Florida county. It sells its own products alongside Florida-made versions of licensed partner brands.
Origins and ownership
The company traces to Steve Garrison, a former Virginia Gardens police chief who owned Bill's Nursery, a long-established Homestead nursery. Florida's early cannabis rules required applicants to hold at least 30 years of plant nursery experience, which put the nursery at the center of the bid. Garrison pursued medical cannabis after his son Matthew came home from Iraq with a brain injury; Matthew died in January 2017. When the state did not issue the licenses it had promised, Bill's Nursery sued in federal court, and in 2019 the family received a Medical Marijuana Treatment Center license through a settlement. Three of Garrison's children and two grandchildren work in the company.

Florida's Office of Medical Marijuana Use lists The Flowery under license MMTC-2019-0020 with dispensing authorization. Under Florida's closed supply chain a licensed operator controls cultivation, processing and dispensing inside the state, so partner-brand products sold here are grown or made under the Florida license rather than imported.

The Homestead gardens run single-stack rooms under HPS lighting, with smart irrigation on custom nutrient recipes, tight environmental control and strict sanitation standards.

The catalog covers flower, hand-rolls and pre-rolls; concentrates in live rosin, live resin, cured resin, distillate and RSO; vapes; oral products; and edibles. The edible kitchen is kosher and works in small batches.

The branding may originate outside the state, but the finished product is not imported from another adult-use market. Florida's medical program requires a patient or caregiver to hold the state authorization needed for purchase. The Flowery's website can support shopping, pickup and statewide delivery, but it does not turn medical cannabis into general interstate ecommerce. A patient's recommendation, available allotment, delivery address and selected location all affect what can be dispensed.
