Wizard Trees is a Los Angeles cannabis cultivation and genetics brand run by Scott Lane. It packs flower, pre-rolls and all-in-one vapes for California retailers, and it sells seeds to growers through separate storefronts for the United States and Europe. Weedmaps prices its 3.5-gram jars between $60 and $75.
The brand's reputation rests on phenotype hunting. RS-11, Studio 54, Zoap and Zangria all trace back to seed populations Lane and his collaborators worked through, and High Times reported on June 12, 2026 that fans had lined up for two weeks ahead of a Wizard Trees seed drop that month.
From 12 lights to more than 100
High Times profiled Lane on August 20, 2022. He is a Los Angeles local who had been growing for about eight years at that point, starting with 12-light home rooms and scaling into spaces running more than 100 lights. He credits John Slab Lab for teaching him irrigation and environmental control, and he helped develop the NPKaliPro nutrient line with partners.
How RS-11 and Studio 54 got their numbers
The genetics came from Rob at DEO Farms in Deep East Oakland, who bred Rainbow Sherbet. Lane and other selectors hunted the resulting seeds. RS-11 circulated first as RS #3 and gained reach through Doja Pak. SMKRS LA, working as Captain Save A Grow, pulled the plant sold as Studio 54, also called RS-54.
Zoap came out of the same DEO line. The distinction matters: selecting a standout plant from someone else's cross is not the same as making the cross, and Wizard Trees built its catalog on selection work. An RS-11 live resin made with F/ELD Extracts took second place in the Hydrocarbon Solid category at the 2022 Emerald Cup.
Zangbanger wins the Zalympix industry award
Zangbanger crosses Zangria with Sherbanger 22. It took the industry award at the Zalympix Winner's Flight on November 15, 2025, in a year-in-review piece published by Cannabis Credit Scores on December 30, 2025. Lane told the outlet, "I think this is going to be our main staple for a while." The same piece flagged Tidebanger as the follow-up cross.
Wizard Trees relaunched wizardtrees.com on December 16, 2025 and put out a mobile app shortly after. The site runs a 21-and-over gate, a store locator and an email list it calls the Inner Circle for drops and events.
The California menu, jar by jar
Weedmaps lists the flower as Gas Gimlet, New Yorker, Zangbanger, Tea Party, Wizzy, Smoothie, Voodoo, Antidote, Nebula, Tidebanger, Wizard OG, Black Magic, BlueBanger and Limelight, at $60 to $75 for 3.5 grams. One-gram pre-rolls of Blue Magic, Tide, Black Light and Zangbanger run $20, with a five-pack of Black Magic at $52.
Retail pages narrow it further. Evergreen in Santa Ana, license C10-0000363-LIC, carries six Wizard Trees items: 3.5-gram indoor jars of Tide, Nebula and Smoothie, plus 1-gram pre-rolls of Black Light, Blue Magic and Smoothie. The shop keeps prices on its live menu because they move with each drop.
Where the jars land
The store locator runs to roughly 60 California retailers, from Eureka down to San Diego. Los Angeles alone lists Big Chief LA, Flora, Goat Global Westwood, SWED - A Snoop Dogg Store and Xzibit's West Coast Cannabis in Bel Air. Sacramento, San Jose, San Francisco, Santa Ana and Santa Rosa each carry five or fewer.

Wizard Trees Genetics, from LA to Europe
The seed program runs on its own rails. Wizard Trees Genetics sells to United States growers at wizardtreesgenetics.shop and to European growers at wizardtreesgenetics.com, keeping fulfillment separate by destination. UK retailer House of Seeds lists 59 Wizard Trees packs priced from 125 to 1,000 euros, with names including Shazam, Black Orchard, Potion, Big Z, Gas Gimlet and Last Dance.
That catalog explains the June 2026 queue High Times described. Seeds, not jars, are what sends the brand's cultivar names into gardens outside California, and the shop pages carry cultivars the retail menu has not run.
Where Wizard Trees stands in 2026
The homepage lists California, Florida, Arizona, Pennsylvania, New York and Michigan as its markets. Weedmaps shows six state licenses tied to the brand, among them California cultivation license CCL22-0001216 and New York microbusiness license OCM-MICR-24-000155, which is how flower carrying the name reaches shelves outside California.
Los Angeles remains the base and Lane remains the operator. The company publishes support@wizardtrees.com and links two Instagram accounts, @wizardtreez and @wizard_trees, plus @wizard_trees on X. The shop still sorts into flower, pre-rolls, seeds and merch, with Zang Banger on the front page.
