Who Makes It
Punch Edibles & Extracts was founded in Los Angeles in 2013 and operates in California, Oklahoma, and New York. Having built the business on edibles, they moved into craft solventless extraction, grading live rosin Tier 1 through 4 and crediting named farm partners on the jar.
They run what they call a Drop List, alongside a loyalty programme and a charitable arm.
How It's Made
Rosin is pressed with heat and pressure and no hydrocarbon solvent. Hash rosin starts from ice-water hash — resin washed from the plant with ice and water, dried, then pressed — rather than from whole flower. That extra separation step is why hash rosin generally tastes cleaner than flower rosin and yields less of it.
Labelled rosin rather than live rosin. "Live" would specify fresh-frozen starting material, frozen at or near harvest instead of dried and cured, and that claim is not being made here.
Texture after the press ranges from a glossy fresh press to an opaque cold cure to something firmer, depending entirely on post-press handling. None of those states indicates quality, and colour does not either — filtration, maturity, storage, oxidation, and age all move it.
