Sour Strawberry is not one plant. At least five breeders release something under that name or a close variant, and their genetics do not overlap. Two of them are documented in detail and describe noticeably different plants. Without a breeder on the package, the name is a flavour direction rather than an identity.
Who Makes It
Punch Edibles & Extracts, founded in Los Angeles in 2013, operates across California, Oklahoma, and New York. Their craft solventless line grades rosin Tier 1 through 4, made with named farm partners credited on the jar.
The Cross
The documented claimants:
B.O.G. Seeds — (East Coast Sour Diesel / Strawberry Cough / Razz) crossed with Sour Bubble. Indica-leaning, 50 to 60 days indoors. The breeder claims it is one of the most strawberry-flavoured of any strawberry variety, which is at least a specific boast.
Barney's Farm — Strawberry Kush crossed with Sour Diesel. 60/40 sativa, 9 to 10 week flower, THC 22 to 24 percent.
Also in circulation: Happy Dreams Genetics (Sour Diesel × Cut Creek Strawberry Kush), Crockett Family Farms (as "Sour Strawberries"), and Twenty 20 Genetics (as "Sour StrawburieD").
It further collides with Strawberry Sour Haze from Connoisseur Genetics.
How It's Made
Rosin is pressed with heat and pressure and no hydrocarbon solvent. Hash rosin uses separated ice-water resin rather than whole flower as the input.
Texture is determined after the press, and colour is not a grade.
What It Left Behind
No competition placement was found for any Sour Strawberry line, and no hash record exists.
Five Breeders, One Shelf Name
B.O.G.'s indica-leaning version and Barney's sativa-leaning version would not be mistaken for each other in a jar, yet they share a shelf name. This is the strongest argument in this category for treating breeder attribution as part of a cultivar's identity rather than as trivia. Without it, the name carries a flavour suggestion and nothing more.
Ask which breeder, and the ambiguity disappears entirely.
The High Rise Take
Five breeders and one name is a question for the counter, not a fact for the label. Compare the documented strawberry lane on Strawberry Banana Rosin and Strawberry Ice Cream Rosin, or browse the High Rise concentrate library.
