THC Bomb is a rosin badder from Punch Extracts, pressed from the signature strain of Bomb Seeds. The cultivar's biggest concentrate moment came at the 2019 Emerald Cup, where a THC Bomb 104u water hash from Papa's Select, grown by Humboldt Kine Farms, took first place in Ice Water Hash.
Punch later pressed Humboldt Kine Farms' THC Bomb as a Tier 1 rosin badder, part of a flavor pack built around that farm's hash-ready plants.
The strain that started Bomb Seeds
Bomb Seeds calls THC Bomb its original signature strain and the cornerstone of its breeding program. The company lists 2009 as its founding year, runs a head office in London and does its breeding and testing in Spain and the Netherlands. Many later Bomb Seeds releases trace back to this plant.
The breeder files THC Bomb as an indica/sativa mix. Indoors it flowers in 7–9 weeks and reaches 90–140 cm, with thick branches that carry heavy, rock-hard buds. Bomb Seeds quotes indoor yields of 550–650 g/m², THC of 20–25% and an outdoor harvest in September or October.
An autoflower version, Auto Bomb × THC Bomb, finishes in about 65 days from seed. It stays at 60–120 cm and tests around 18–22% THC.
First place in ice water hash
The 2019 Emerald Cup turned into a Humboldt Kine Farms sweep. THC Bomb 104u water hash took first, Peanut Butter Breath 104u took second, and a Wedding Crasher 104u water hash from Papa's Select took third. Redheaded Blackbelt reported that Humboldt businesses dominated the CO2 cart, ice water hash and BHO solid categories that year.
Humboldt Kine Farms, run by Eric Walz, grows with ice water hash in mind. Hashwriter credits the farm's Humboldt terroir, calling it optimal hash-making ground, and the same outlet has followed the farm through jar tests, leafing and staggered harvests.
Punch and the King of Cakes flavor pack
In September 2022, Hashwriter covered a Punch Extracts collaboration with Humboldt Kine Farms. Walz, the self-declared King of Cakes, supplied the material. The pack included JBMO rosin badder at Tier 2, Peel-Out fresh press at Tier 1, and Rainbow Beltz and THC Bomb rosin badders at Tier 1.
The other jars in the pack drew on newer crosses. Peel-Out is Symbiotic Genetics' MotorBreath × Banana Punch, Rainbow Beltz crosses Zkittlez with Do-Si-Dos and then back to Zkittlez, and JBMO carries GMO genetics.
Hashwriter noted the THC Bomb badder's yellowish hue and a candy-sweet grape bubblegum flavor with no gas or garlic. The review called the high hard hitting, cerebral and functional.
Rosin badder without solvents
Rosin is made with heat and pressure alone. Hash or flower goes between heated plates, and the oil that runs out cools into a soft, creamy or honey-like concentrate. No solvents or chemicals enter the process.
Punch Extracts says it uses ultra-purified ice and water and presses in a climate-controlled room, with no cutting agents or additives. Its rosin comes in four tiers, as fresh press or cold cure badder, alongside jars like Strawberry Banana fresh press.
