Aftershock Festival 2026 takes over Discovery Park in Sacramento from Thursday, October 1 through Sunday, October 4. Danny Wimmer Presents is running its biggest Aftershock lineup yet, with more than 140 artists across five stages and My Chemical Romance, Limp Bizkit, Pierce the Veil and Tool closing out the four nights. It's built for rock, metal, punk and emo lifers, and for anyone who found the pit young and never really left.
My Chemical Romance headlines Thursday, with Sublime, The Offspring, The Used, Killswitch Engage, New Found Glory, Sevendust and Starset on the same day. Friday puts Limp Bizkit on top of a crossover card that runs straight through hip-hop history: Wu-Tang Clan, Public Enemy and Cypress Hill share the grounds with $uicideboy$, Insane Clown Posse, Slaughter to Prevail, Dethklok and Underoath.
Saturday belongs to Pierce the Veil, backed by BABYMETAL, A Day to Remember, Black Label Society, Sleeping with Sirens, Down, Circa Survive, The Ghost Inside and Melvins. Sunday closes with Tool, plus Queens of the Stone Age, Danny Elfman, AFI, Stone Temple Pilots, Body Count, Zakk Sabbath and Suicidal Tendencies.
Discovery Park sits at 1000 Garden Highway, where the American River meets the Sacramento River just north of downtown. Four-day, two-day and single-day passes are on sale through the official site in GA, VIP and Capital Club tiers, with hotel packages and buy-now-pay-later plans also available.
Camping is new this year. For the first time, Aftershock offers official RV and car-and-tent camping at nearby Cal Expo, with the campground opening Wednesday, September 30. Camping passes cover five nights, a campground pre-party that Wednesday, 24-hour security, showers and water stations, plus festival re-entry. Festival admission is sold separately, so you need a pass on top of your site.
Aftershock is all ages, and every attendee, regardless of age, needs a full-price festival pass. The organizer describes an adult environment with strong language and mature themes, so parental discretion applies. Expect metal detectors at entry and a strict bag policy, and leave outside food and drinks at home; the one exception is a single factory-sealed water bottle up to 20 oz. Re-entry is limited to campers and select hotel and value-pass packages.
Set times arrive in the official Aftershock app closer to the weekend. With five stages running at once, map your must-sees early and build in walking time between them.
Sacramento stays busy after the gates close. Slightly Stoopid plays The Venue at Thunder Valley in nearby Lincoln on October 10, and Hall of Flowers Sacramento brings the cannabis industry to Cal Expo in November. Driving up from SoCal? Weedeater hits The Wayfarer in Costa Mesa two nights before the gates open.
