NECANN brings its Minnesota Cannabis Convention back to the Minneapolis Convention Center on May 14 and 15, 2027 for a second year. It is a 21+ show built around a state market still finding its shape, and one ticket covers both the expo floor and the speaker sessions running alongside it.
About The Show
NECANN has been running B2B cannabis conventions since 2014, and the house approach is to build each show around the specific market it lands in rather than recycling one national template. Minnesota got its first NECANN convention recently enough that year two still counts as early days - which is exactly when the room is worth being in, because the operators walking the floor are the ones deciding what the state's industry looks like.
Licensees and qualified buyers get in free, which keeps the aisles weighted toward people actually doing business rather than pure foot traffic.

What To Know Before You Walk In
This one is 21+ and there are no exceptions. You do not need a medical card to attend. No cannabis of any kind is sold, distributed or displayed inside the Convention Center - that is a venue rule, not a NECANN preference, so plan the day accordingly.
Bags and backpacks are allowed but subject to search, and outside food, drink and weapons are not permitted. Service animals only. Photos are fine on the exhibit floor as a courtesy to whoever you are pointing the camera at, but recording speaker sessions is not allowed anywhere in the programming.
Ticketing
Tickets are available in advance online and at the venue, where the door is cash only. They are non-refundable but they are transferable, so a ticket you cannot use does not have to go to waste. Lose your badge on site and a replacement runs $25 at the registration desk.
Worth planning around: a two-day badge and free re-entry make this an easy show to split across both days rather than trying to cram the floor and the talks into one. Friday runs an hour longer than Saturday, so if you only have one day in you, take Friday.
