What an inline perc does in a small body
An inline percolator is a horizontal tube lying in the water with slits cut along its length. Smoke runs the length of that tube and exits through every slit at once, spreading across the width of the chamber instead of rising in a single column.
On a small bong that horizontal spread matters more than it does on a tall one. There is very little vertical distance for smoke to cool, so the filtration has to happen sideways. An inline is one of the few perc styles that works well in a short chamber for exactly this reason.
The frosted chamber
Frosting the glass gives the moon its surface texture and diffuses the light passing through it, so the chamber glows rather than simply showing what is inside. It is a finish applied to the glass itself, not a coating that will wear off the outside with handling.
The practical cost is that you cannot read the water line at a glance the way you can through clear glass, so it is worth changing the water on a schedule rather than on sight.

This is a small piece for someone who wants a real percolator without a real budget — a good second bong, a good first bong, and a reasonable travel option given the size.

Keeping it clean
Percolated glass holds resin in places a paper towel will never reach. Dump and refill the water after every couple of sessions, and give the chamber a proper soak in isopropyl and coarse salt once a week. Plug the joint and mouthpiece, shake it in short bursts rather than one long rattle, and rinse with warm — not hot — water so the glass never takes a thermal shock.
