The Showerhead Puck is a 6-inch bong built as one of the most break-resistant pieces HEMPER makes, running a 360 showerhead percolator under a flat puck top. It sells for $59.99.
The 360 perc and the deflecting top
A 360 showerhead pushes smoke out through slits running the full way around the perc rather than across one face, so bubbles spread through the entire chamber at once.
The puck top then deflects rising smoke back down toward the water instead of letting it run straight up the neck. That second pass is unusual at this price and is what makes a piece this short pull like a taller one.
Built to be knocked about
The squat puck form has no long unsupported neck, which is where most bongs break. Stress spreads through a short, thick shape instead of concentrating at a thin point.
That geometry is why this survives handling that would end a conventional tube — and why it is a sensible piece for a shared table or anywhere it will be picked up constantly.
Who it's for
This is the durability pick at the bottom of the range: percolated filtration, minimal footprint, and a shape that tolerates being treated badly. Good for a first bong and good as the one that lives at a friend's place.
For other compact perc'd options, the Hourglass V2 uses an angled slit showerhead in a palm grip and the Whistler Bent-Neck adds a splash-guarding bend. More on the HEMPER brand page.
Keeping it clean
Percolated glass traps resin where a cloth will never reach. Change the water every couple of sessions, and once a week plug both ends and soak the chamber in isopropyl and coarse salt. Shake in short bursts rather than one long rattle, then rinse with warm rather than hot water so the glass never takes a thermal shock.
